I was working out with my trainer today, and he asked if I had ever tried cardio kick boxing. I hadn't, so he took me over and got me gloved up, showed me some basic boxing moves - punch, jab, uppercut - then pulled out the pads and told me to go for it.
HOLY. SHIT.
That was freaking AWESOME.
What a visceral satisfaction from hearing the glove smack the pads - pretending it was some asshole from ConocoPhillips, taking out my aggression... literally kicking some ass and taking some names. I have never punched anyone or anything before, so it was a whole new sensation. And I LOVED IT.
I am going to sign up for a class at the Y now - that was a rush.
