What should really be pointed out is that McCluster is not only short, just under 5' 8", but more importantly, he's not even 165 lbs.

He is, by NFL standards, tiny.  Teeny tiny.

What Warrick Dunn did at 5' 9" and 190 lbs was considered to be pretty amazing considering his size.  He would run over McCluster like Jacobs did Laron Landry.

Visual aid (check it out at 22 seconds and 29 seconds):

Minus Williams, they are all bigger.

Saying that with a straight face?

Turner is the only one that you can legitimately call "bigger" and that's a weight issue.  The rest are very comparable.  Within 2" and 12 pounds.

There's a possibility the Saints take McCluster in the 1st round.

If the Seahawks pony up the dough for Reggie Bush, the Saints will take McCluster to fill his spot.  Then we use the extra 2nd round pick for whatever we needed in the 1st.

Bush is set to make $8 million next year.  We don't need to pay a situational player that much.

My personal opinion is that Bush is essential to our offense and special teams, but this is just what I've heard via the air waves.
