Looks like it's back to Law & Order for this guy.  The real question is, when he endorses a new GOP candidate, will it really matter?

There went the candidate that I was going to support.  That leaves us with a bunch of RINOs...although maybe Romney wouldn't be a bad candidate since he has the most delegates at this point (despite McCain's recent wins).

Yeah, I was a Fred Thompson man myself. Looks like Romney is going to get my vote,

This Hillary shit is scaring me to death. I fear for our republic. If she gets elected, God help us all.

Yeah, I know what you mean; she scares the hell out of me and I am a political curmudgeon.  I work with a die-hard Democrat and he's even worried about her.

"Hey my friends are the ones that wanted to eat at that shitty hole in the wall that only served bread and wine.  What kind of brick and mud business model is that.  Stick to the cart if that's all you're going to serve.  Then that dude came in with like 12 other people, and some of them weren't even wearing shoes, and the restaurant sat them right across from us. It was gross, and they were all stinky and dirty.  Then dude starts talking about eating his body and drinking his blood...I almost lost it.  That's the last supper I'll ever have there, and I hope he dies a horrible death."

i don't think thompson ever really had a chance.  the man is smart, no doubt.  but he isn't marketable as a presidential candidate.  the conservatives hope is going to be with romney or mccain (or both if they run as a ticket).  Huckabee has a very slim shot, if he can gain some serious momentum and do very well super-tuesday.  Rudy is expected to drop after florida, which he should.  He was never a serious contender.

I'm predictiing Hillary will win her nomination, Obama will slide.  It is hard to beat the clinton machine.

I gotta go with Huck for now. I would vote for McCain if he won. But I just do not like Romney. He just has that "slick" look about him. Folks give Huck a hard time but he has just about the same background as Reagan did. Except Reagan did legalize abortion as governor of Cali. And the more I hear Huck speak, the more he seems to appeal to the working class. If he can bring about tax reform and maybe even get the fair tax idea passed, it will be worth just about any other decisions he makes that I might not agree with. He is very charismatic. He reminds me of a more conservative Bill Cinton. So just maybe he can get the lunch-pail crowd excited and even work with the dims on the big issues. There really is no candidate out there that embodies everything I want, but I have to take the big things. No question that ALL of the republicans are big on national security. So I have to look for the next big thing. lower my taxes and throw out the illegals.  I'd settle for widening the Rio Grande and stocking it with piranha.

Nice article on Huck:

Five statements of WISDOM
1. You cannot legislate the poor into prosperity, by legislating the wealth out of prosperity.
2. What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving.
3. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else.
4. You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it.
5. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that my dear friends, is the beginning of the end of any nation.

Nice article on Huck:
Huck Huck

That is a compelling article in favor of Huckabee but fundamentally (and with all due respect to Rep. Linder) I believe that he is wrong in his premise that Huckabee is the candidate best able to reach the Reagan Democrats.  McCain has already demonstrated his ability to do that more effectively.  Both the New Hampshire and South Carolina primaries are proof.  If Huckabee was able to reach out to that group he should have at least won South Carolina.  I suppose we'll see how things go on Super Tuesday...Huckabee still has a shot if he can win the states that allow open primaries (like Georgia where I live).  Quite frankly, I am not very happy with McCain as a candidate but I am convinced that he is the only candidate that can beat Hillary or Obama because of his broad, less polarizing appeal.

Huck may pick up the votes that Thompson was getting. That would be a very competitive percentage. It'll be interesting how things work out. but in the end, any of them are better than any dim.

I could not agree with you more!

I keep hearing the MSM types saying that the Republicans are divided due to the lack of a good candidate; I think the opposite is true...practically ALL of our candidates are better than anyone the dims have been running.

Florida should be very interesting...then it's onto Super Tuesday.
