You may now consider me a "Chizdick-sucking loon". I won't even care. He and his staff are getting it done.
I know, I know, we're not even half way through the season yet.
I'm just saying. Chizik has taken a team that EVERYONE thought would struggle to win five games this year, and he's done it in his first five he's played. A friend of mine already won his $200 bet with a bammer as early as chronologically possible that Auburn would win more than 4 games this year. Chizik's already matched last year's wins, so all logic points to him improving on Tubs's last year by the time we're done. Not regress as most predicted. Chizik's five wins in two years at Iowa State that was supposed to be so indicative of his failure here, has already been doubled, again in the first five games played in the season. I remember during the offseason, the JOX hosts going down the schedule, naming the team we faced, chuckling and saying "L" after all but Furman, and maybe Ball State. Look where we are now.
I know we've got a long way to go, but consider this: Alabama was 6-6 (actually 2-6 according to the record books) in Saban's first year, and he's supposedly a God amongst men. He had two losses by this point in the season. So EVEN IF we only pull out two more games (say to Kentucky & Furman), Chizik's already ahead of Saban.
Look at the other two hires in the SEC. Most laughed and said Chizik was the clear worst choice of the three. If only we could have gotten a winner like Kiffen. Who's laughing now?
And RWS, please keep this line in your sig. I look forward to Prowler asking you how shit tastes.
