Michael Jackson's legacy

Two good albums (Off the Wall and Thriller) and a shitload of weirdness.  I'm sick to death of him being deified as some great musical genius or something -- as CNN said "the Mozart of our time."   What instrument did creepy-fuck play? 

He absolutely did NOT bring black music to white America.  The fuck didn't really even perform black music.  Who brought black music to white America?  Elvis. Chuck Berry. Fats Domino. The Supremes. The Temptations. Bo Diddly. James Brown. Ray Charles. 

He was such a great dancer.  Seriously?  In the last two days I've been inundated with images of him performing his dance moves.  You know what?  He did the same fucking shit over and over and over and over and over and over.  From the time he was ten years old, his "awesome" moves didn't change.

What did MJ contribute to society?  Not really shit.  He indulged himself in whatever he wanted whether it was ice cream or baby cream. He ran through more money in a year on ridiculous shit than most of us will make in a lifetime.  And for what?  He was a decent singer with two good albums. 

Take away Quincy Jones?  He's Donny Fucking Osmond.  Nobody remembers him except as that weird little kid used to sing with his brothers. 

Here's Mike's real legacy, though.  After he died my wife and I were driving down the road listening to reports on the radio.  My nine year old was in the back. One of the stations was playing the CNN broadcast where the talking head amazingly and ignorantly made the following comments:  "You might think 50 years old is relatively young, but in the black community it's really not.  Black men dying at 50 isn't that rare. More blacks die at that age than whites. " 

My daughter -- who isn't dumb -- had this reaction:  "Michael Jackson wasn't BLACK, was she, mom?" 

Michael Jackson wasn't black, was she? 

That, my friends, sums it up.

My thoughts almost exactly, Mr. Kaos.

I actually like Michael Jackson's music, but he simply isn't relevant anymore.  He hasn't been relevant for almost 15 years if you ask me.  He was HUGE in the late 70s and 80s, but his 90s material was shit.  He hasn't done anything this decade but mutate into an alien. 

Yet, he dies a unexpectant (but who the fuck really was surprised?) death and the entire world turns upside down.  Why?  I have no idea.  Maybe it's because his circus of a life has always brought ratings. 

What's especially sick about all of this is that Michael Jackson has been an accused child molestor.  A pervert.  A pedophile.  No, he's never been convicted.  Yes, it's possible he's always been innocent.  However, saying MJ was innocent in all of those cases is like saying OJ didn't kill Nicole Brown Simpson. 

Not to mention, Michael Jackson has spent his entire life acting like a child.  Excuse me if that grinds my gears.  A grown adult with millions of dollars shouldn't be spending thousands daily on superfluous toys and decorations.  At least Elvis had a sad story.  He tried to live a normal life but was forced into being a superstar.  It wore him down, and he took drugs to cope.  Ultimately, he died. 

Michael Jackson was on top of the world, lived irresponsibly, and went bankrupt.  He disappeared from the music scene years ago because he was washed up and certifiably insane.  His physical appearance was so demented that more people watched him like they watch a zoo animal as opposed to watching a rock star. 

Yet, this is the #1 news story.  Although, I can't blame Michael.  He's not the one rushing to Twitter and Google his death.  It's the billion simpletons on the planet who can't carry on their daily routines without knowing Michael Jackson is safe in his small home in Never Ever Land.

Joe Jackson was born about 15 miles from where I live. It's a good thing he left here. Michael wouldn't have made it as a pulpwood hauler.

Since then, he's done nothing but live in his own alien-world far from reality. Then man had severe dementia that was progressively worse and worse throughout his entire life.

I'm quite sure the family is all toe up about MJ's death, but frippity frap, none of them took the initiative to get in his grill about any of this?  He had 16 brothers and 12 sisters and parents too.  So, they just let him carve himself up and bleach himself out until he absolutely looked like a fucking space alien?  Grew up a handsome, talented black man and died an ugly white woman.  Shit fire, nobody in his family decided to call him out on it? Hey Mike, glue your damn nose back on and how bout' at least eatin' a fuckin' stick of celery or something. You look like shit.
