What about that post suggests drinking? Sorry to disappoint, but most of the time, the drinking thing is a joke. However, two glasses of wine at 8:00 tonight may qualify me as blitzed. Nice "speculation" about what Mom may be thinking and how it negatively affects Auburn. That sounds more like a bourbon induced post than anything else. It's just sad to see people, especially Auburn people, playing into the spin of Bammers and others concerning anything positive this staff tries to do. In the first place, Seastrunk is a LOOOOONNNG Shot. If he shot his pie hole off in the heat of the moment and feels bad about it when he reflects back...how does that affect Auburn? Is this the first time an athlete has apologized for his words or actions? Well?
You've absolutely RIPPED people for quoting or even listening to Paul Finebaum. Why? Because his anti-Auburn propoganda affects Auburn. How many times have you said it? However, here you are on a public forum, constantly ripping this staff....ripping the AD...ripping those who support this staff...and now "Specualting" on how an apology by a recruit who hasn't signed, verbaled or otherwise committed to Auburn...is somehow reflecting negatively on the University. Rinky dink?
As was my comment about drinking also a joke. Unwind thy ass.
I don't listen to Finebaum and I have no idea what his response to this is. My ideas are mine and mine alone. They are not influenced by bama propoganda or anything else. Having moved away from Tuscaloosa a year ago, I am not exposed to that idiocy on a daily basis any longer.
If you can't see how this takes the luster off what was a fun and positive event, that's not my problem. I would assume that the state media is raping Auburn -- starting with Evan Woodberry deciding there were NCAA violations and running with that ridiculous shit -- because it's standard MO. My point was not that
i think it's rinky dink because what I think is meaningless, but that his apology -- and the need for it -- will be spun that way. It will negatively affect his recruiting because of the questions that will inevitably be asked of him (as evidenced by the barrage of call-in shows referenced in this thread).
Funny to see everybody now backing off and saying it was a long shot to sign the guy when up until last weekend there was unbridled optimism ranging from "he's gonna" to "he already has" coming from every corner. You don't see that as a negative in any way, shape or form? You don't see that instead of helping Auburn's relationship with the kid, now there's an awkwardness because he had to make a public apology for something? You don't think the state media is going to latch on to this and drill Auburn, doing everything it ist power to undermine recruiting? Okay then.
When has an athlete making a public apology
NOT reflected on the team? Well?
If I was writing my thoughts in the newspaper or hosting a talk radio show then maybe you'd have a point. As I'm not and don't...... strike two. Sorry you didn't bother to read what I wrote before you flew off. If you had, you'd understand my meaning.
