Freshman awaits Groves
Auburn defensive end Quentin Groves, who needs one sack to stand alone as Auburn's all-time leader, will often go against freshman right tackle Chris Hairston, making his first start. Senior Christian Capote, who started 12 games, is academically ineligible for the game.
Groves didn't bite when asked if his eyes were lighting up at the thought of playing against a freshman.
"I wouldn't say they are lighting up," Groves said. "I don't look at age. I look at what I can do. We have a 19-year-old true freshman playing on our side. It speaks volumes for what a freshman can do.
"He has a scholarship just like I have a scholarship. I respect every guy I play against. I don't look at guys like that. I just go out with the mindset to play as hard as I can and as fast as I can for as long as I can."
