Tubs walked in and said "I'm sorry...I love you guys, I love Auburn, I believe in Auburn and have since the first day I got here." At this point he was really crying, then said, "I'm sorry it didn't work out", then he really just started to kinda lose it and Chette and he walked out.Sad stuff. Don't care if you wanted him fired or not. Guy put 10 years of his life into Auburn and we owe him gratitude for that. He built a great foundation of doing things the right way, and I will always appreciate the Christian ministry he tried to implement with the program as well.I honestly hope the next coach can have the same support from the players, both current and former, that Tubs did. I don't care who comes on here and says they think the players thought he should go, that's bull. They were shocked as all get out.
I really feel bad for Tubs. I know that this is tough on him and his family. I also wonder if any of the current players will ask for a transfer now.
