Pressuring the Passer

I don't have any connections and mostly depend on GH for all of my recruiting news.
Recently came across some back and forth discussion between N. Dame and AU fans about being broke, cheap and having never developed a QB.
Development is not something either could legitimately claim imo.


Anyway it has been mentioned that Hugh Freeze all but had Riley Leonard on board with Auburn when the kid up and asked for more money. If you recall he was sidelined with a lower leg injury at the end of last season but was a real gamer, somewhat less than Jaxson Dart perhaps but a great fit for us at the time.
I don't recall why he chose not to follow Elko to TAMU given they are thought to be loaded with NIL money, but he didn't.


Also heard that Grayson McCall (3X Sunbelt POY) drew interest from Auburn although that talk was dispelled within 72 hours. The no contact clause thingy might have played a part in that whiff.


Now the 2025 class has us gunning for another Irish commit in lefty Deuce Knight. He had been a great recruiter for others in this class but has since waned in that capacity. So much of his status is being aired to the point that he hasn't posted in social media since the last days of July and this tryst could very well last until the end of December with no signal caller added to this class.


Yeah I'm bored when I start wondering what's happening in the noggin of a high school kid. Oh bother!


And for that matter... is it possible that Freeze and Company are stalking Notre Dame having previously been jilted by Leonard and after Ju Ju Lewis' diddy did what he do?

I heard Brandon Marshmallow recently opine that AU was purposely being stingy with NIL $$ with the plan to open the floodgates for years 3-4.  Take lumps now if it comes to that, but go Chizik’s “all in” soon.

I am trying to figure out which end of that spectrum we are.....Bammer, Notre Dame, Ole Piss - all say we are spending copious amounts (hint: we're not) because why ELSE would any player want to come to Auburrn over those schools, right? Then internally many bitch we don't spend enough.

Any ND fan pointing to lack of success by an opposing team in a recruiting battle though? RICH.

I'm just trying to figure out which cloud to yell at so that I get it right.
