To be ranked #5 in the AP, it is odd LSU has to rely on on-side kicks and other such trickery to stay close in ballgames.

It is very similar to their 2007 season; what kinda of team has to score on a fake field goal to go ahead of South Carolina? Sidenote** I love how the ESPN heads gush over it like it was a great play call. Note to ESPN, being down to South Carolina is not "great coaching". 

Despite the claim to fame with winning the MNC in 2003 and 2007, imagine the "Spurrier'es" like dynasty that LSU could be with a capable coach.

Well, until folks start beating Miles and proving otherwise, the guy is turning out to be a hell of a coach.  A couple of points I've heard brought up in the last few days that are very similar, but I think pretty much describe CLM:

1. He plays to win, in all situations.  Makes you shake your head and question him, but he plays to win.

2. He knows he has great athletes so he let's them go out and make plays. 

The Spurrier reference is spot on.  I never thought Spurrier was this great X's and O's guru everybody made him out to be.  The guy was in a great place, attracting the best talent in the country and he did the same things Miles is doing now.  Spurrier was just as likely to run a double reverse on the goal line as he was a dive play.  I've got better athletes than you so I'm gonna' give them every chance to show it.

Question: Miles/Kroten put the halfback pass in THIS PAST WEEK just for us.  What did CTT put in for LSU?

I agree. Les Miles is one helluva coach. To steal the old bear saying. If heun had been coaching ouruns. weeda wun. Simple as that. Seems like the nmore talent tubs gets the more of a conservative pussy on offense he turns into.
