Dean Smith passes away at 83.  As big a coaching legend as there is.  The game lost a great one.

Hated to hear that.  Tarheel, Garman, and I were there at the Dean Dome when they honored his national championship team with Jordan. 

I don't remember if Garman was asleep or not.

One of the very best. Time is catching up. I remember when he looked like a young man. It was not that long ago that he was coaching, at least it seems that way.
