Just caught two minutes of a CFB discussion.

"Would you rank Alabama ahead of Auburn if you knew Jacob Coker wasn't going to be good?"

McMurphy (bad moustache) "No. I'm basing my ranking on his great play at Florida State. And Lane Kiffin."

WHAT great play? He "challenged" Winston in the same way Trotter "challenged" Cam.

What has Kiffin ever done to warrant confidence? The USC offense was better after he got canned than it was while he was in charge. His offenses at UT were anemic. He's getting credit for one season ten years ago when he had four future NFL offensive linemen, two heisman winners in the backfield and a couple of NFL quality receivers. I'm sorry but Tori Spelling could make that offense work.

I'm really really tired of the narrative.

The best part about all the "Kiffin was the OC for the outstanding USC offenses" is the fact that Kiffin wasn't the playcaller, Steve Sarkisian was. Now, if uat had landed Sarkisian...then yes, that would be something.

Kaos, that's why I don't listen to the "experts", because they usually have no idea about what they're talking about and they rarely do any fact finding searches to back up their points.

Here's my thought on Coker and Kiffin. Coker might be a good QB, he has the size and pretty good arm strength with decent ability in the pocket, through the 10 qtrs or so total that he's played. Kiffin, hasn't been a successful play calling OC, but he's a hell of a NCAA rule breaker in recruiting, which sometimes lands him some quality playmakers. Now that he's at uat, he won't have to worry about any NCAA investigations, atleast while sabbin is walking the sidelines.

Please
"Would you rank Alabama ahead of Auburn if you knew Jacob Coker wasn't going to be good?"
Please tell me a talking head said yes. The fact that that's even considered a legitimate question is probably the most laughable part.

Kiffin is a well-established walking joke at this point. Until he went to Bama. Can't have the media not fellate a Bama coordinator. Doesn't fit the narrative.

And we've seen Coker's "great play" at Florida State condensed to a 7 minute and 43 second YouTube video, half of which was from the Spring Game.

Coker couldn't roll into Auburn as Marshall's backup...for that matter Johnson might already be better than two thirds of the penciled-in SEC starters.

The douche said if Coker wasn't good he'd have AU ranked ahead. But Alabama has more talent than at any time in the last ten years. Derrick Henry can't be stopped, amari cooper is great. Blah blah blah.

Then conceded that AU had more returning starters and that Marshall should be vastly improved at QB. AU offense would be better. But won't have all that luck like last year. And a harder schedule. So. Alabama ranks higher.

The other guy says are you ranking NOW or where you think it will be later in the season?

No answer.

On another note. The bama spring game is on. They look like garbage. Interviewed that mccarron asshole. I dislike him more every time I see him. They didn't lose any games last year. Just one fluke play and a bad bowl game effort.

This logic is frighteningly common.

And is hole-in-head stupid.

Why, when you're ranking teams in terms of who's better, would you reward teams for playing cupcake schedules?

Same experts had us unranked this time last year. And FSU 12th.

WTF did they know. I like the narrative. We do best this way. And its just sweeter when the turds lose 3 games.

I'm just curious as to why we care what Mr. Mcmoustache has to say about football in the first place.  I have never agreed with the pre-season poll, and never will.

It's the mediot knob slobbing that is going to make the turds 3 loss regular season that much more fun to watch.
