"We're under a gag order not to discuss anything specifically," LSU athletic director Joe Alleva said Friday during a break in the monthly LSU Board of Supervisors meeting. "That means the NCAA is still looking at us and asking questions."

An NCAA official was on the LSU campus a week ago and interviewed unidentified members of the football coaching staff about LSU's relationship with Houston-based prospect scout/adviser Willie Lyles of Complete Scouting Services, according to an LSU release on Thursday.

An actual investigation as opposed to a theoretical one.

Living in Southeast Louisiana, I haven't heard a single word about this. Not on the local sports show. Not on nola.com.

Most local media downplay shit like this.

Add to that the NYT, Joe Schad, Thayer Evans, and SportsByBrooks all have raging boners for us, and if Gene Chizik farts in public, it's headline news...

Correct me if I'm wrong, but Auburn doesn't run the Shreveport newspaper.   Auburn confirmed just as much as LSU has and then said no comment.  Wait.. didn't LSU say "no further comment..."   Oh, and AU didn't cooperate with the NCAA?  That's why Cam didn't get to play the second half of the season.

Lyles tried to sell Peterson to Tx A&M.  He played at LSU, so they damn well better still be under investigation in Baton Rouge.  That's how it works here.  The difference is...LSU doesn't have an insanely jealous instate rival to pound the drum every day against them.  The local media in LA won't feed bullshit rumors about LSU to Gayer Evans, the NYT, Brooks, etc. etc.

Auburn is the most interesting program in the country and has been for a decade.  Two undefeated teams under two coaches.  Should have two national titles within six years of each other. 

You do know that two national titles in that span = DYNASTY.   Look at the teams considered "dynasties"

80s Miami?  Three.  83*, 87, 89.  And 83 should have been Auburn's.
60s Bama?  Three.  61, 64, 65.  (70s Bama also won three).

Why can't I find poope about this story??? Most sites have like two paragraphs of info. Most forums including tigerdroppings  have nothing about it.  I can find more rehashed poope on the NYT Thermal bullpoo then I can on this awesome development.
