AUBURN, Alabama -- The trial of four former Auburn football players accused of armed robbery -- if it occurs -- won't happen until at least Oct. 31.The cases have been pushed back to the next docket at the Lee County Circuit Court. (If that date sounds familiar, it's also accused tree-poisoner Harvey Updyke's tentative trial date). A judge is scheduled to hear motions in the case on Sept. 9.Online court records also indicate that attorneys for Shaun Kitchens have filed a request for Judge Chris Hughes to reconsider his ruling denying Kitchens' application for youthful offender status.Walker refused to grant the status to Kitchens, Antonio Goodwin and Dakota Mosley. A fourth former player, Mike McNeil, was too old to be considered. The four men were indicted in May on five counts of first-degree robbery, one count of first-degree burglary and one count of third-degree theft of property. Mosley also faces a misdemeanor count of conspiracy to hinder business.NOTE: An earlier version of this story incorrectly referenced the judge who ruled on the youthful offender requests.
