Title: Countries that Like America the Most...and the Least
Post by: Tarheel on June 09, 2010, 02:51:05 PM
I thought that this was an interesting survey done recently by Gallup showing which countries in the world favor the US the most and which like us the least.  I was a little surprised at the top five countries until I remembered The ONE is from that same region of the world.

Here's a few at the top:

Ivory Coast 94% approval
Kenya 93%
Uganda 91%
Zambia 90%
Mali 89%
Tanzania 89%
Democratic Republic of Congo 89%
Kosovo 88%

And lets not forget the countries which hate "US" the most:

Syria 71% Disapproval
Serbia 71%
Palestinian Territories 70%
Pakistan 68%
Saudi Arabia 63%
Turkey 61%
Lebanon 57%

Countries of note:
Afghanistan 44% approve 45% disapprove
Iraq 33% approve 46% disapprove
France 52% approve 14% disapprove (34% refused to answer)
Israel 61% approve 30% disapprove

Here's the raw source data from Gallup for 101 countries in the survey:

Israel is only at around 60%? Well, thats a fine howdy doo to the country that has pretty much stood in front of a nuke for them the last 40 years. I say we just get the hell out of the whole region and let them all take each other out.

Based on a recent post he made I think that "bottomfeeder" might agree with you there GH; I was surprised they were as high as that after the very cold reception their delegation got from The ONE just a few short weeks ago.
