Title: CFN's SEC RB Rankings
Post by: wesfau2 on June 02, 2010, 11:53:05 AM
1. Mark Ingram (UAT)
2. Trent Richardson (UAT)
3. Derrick Locke (UK)
4. Washaun Ealey (UGA)
5. Jeff Demps (UF)
6. Onterrio McCalebb (AU)
7. Warren Norman (VU)
8. Caleb King (UGA)
9. Tauren Poole (UT)
10. Brandon Bolden (OM)
11. Kenny Miles (USC)
12. Marcus Lattimore (USC)

Hard to find too much fault with this list, though I don't think I'd list Onterrio that high.  I do think it's odd that Lattimore makes the list as an unproven true Frosh, but his star-equivalent in Dyer does not.

These are just the lists (good for AU or not) that are fun to look back on in the following January, or February.

I agree with your take on Lattimore.  Maybe he gets a bump due to the fact he doesn't have a Fannin or McCallebb in front of him at SC.   *shrug*

Ah, just typical preseason prognostication...I guess most thing Lattimore will start at USC, or play a significant role.  I don't think it's a given that Dyer will at Auburn.  Aycocks departure makes it much more likely, but we could, if Fannin doesn't fumble the ball constantly, see Dyer redshirt this year...not likely, but could happen.

This list loses credibility to me by listing McCaleb higher than Fanin. Obviously the people at CFN know more than our coaches do...

Agreed on McCalebb.  I would like to think you would at least be the feature or every down back to make the list, although I fully understand Ingram and Richardson being there.  Not much difference to me.  I really think Fannin is going to show us what he's all about this year.  He has his chance behind one of the most experienced lines we've had in forevah.

Agreed, if Fannin can hang on to the damn rock....no, I mean football. Fannin is the prime position to do so.
