Yeah but he's no martyr. I was under the impression that the Saints were well off at receiver but maybe it is because they play at such a high level while being below sea level. :rimshot:

I will take Montez Billings out for a nice seafood dinner and never call him again!

subject Montez Billings
Why have none of the Auburn beatwriters in any of the state's major papers mentioned that Montez Billings has signed as a free agent with the New Orleans Saints?
Not a word about that from the Auburn beat writers during a deathly slow offseason?
Response from Jay Tate:
I don't think that deserves a story. Sorry.
How the fuck not on a slow news week like this one? I'd expect a dick answer like that from Woodfairy. Not Jay.

But a 5 paragraph piece of shit about who will be first round draft picks from the Alabama roster in 2011 does?

Newspapers are subjective now a days...go figure.

I responded.
Why do the Alabama beat writers think Tiffin doing the same thing on the same day with the Browns (as opposed to the Super Bowl Winning Saints) deserves five paragraphs?

Or when Corey Reamer signed a Free agent last week?

Let alone all the other Bama players that signed free agents got their own story.

I blocked for Montez Billings in high school.
I don't believe he ever said a word. I always thought he was mute.
I even stepped on his foot once. I didn't know it hurt him until I noticed his furrowed eyebrows.

I responded.
His response:
Ask them.
It's official. All of our beat writers can die in a fire. Why the fuck would it be so hard to get an Auburn beat writer that...I dunno, likes Auburn?

Because all of the true Auburn men/women are either Lawyers, business owners, drunks, or responsible for the oil in the Gulf of Mexico.

You forgot Astronauts, and second in command at Apple.

By the way your response back to them Chad should be:
War Eagle Douchebag

It was finally mentioned three days later. I have to believe I played a role in that.

The Super Bowl champion New Orleans Saints will try to do what Auburn couldn't -- get Montez Billings to reach his considerable potential.
Billings, who caught 55 passes for 645 yards and one touchdown in his college career at Auburn, has signed a free-agent deal with the Saints after trying out with the club last weekend, the club reported Wednesday.
Billings (6-1, 181) was a highly sought-after recruit out of Pelham, but his best season at Auburn was 2007, when he caught 28 passes for 321 yards and one score after breaking into the starting lineup midway through the season. In 2008, he was second on the team in receiving with 24 catches for 277 yards.
The Saints also signed former Kentucky linebacker Sam Maxwell to a free-agent deal Wednesday and waived another pair of undrafted free agents -- linebacker Jason Beaucahmp and receiver Chris Bell.

Other ways to say what he said:
The Super Bowl champion New Orleans Saints will try to do what Greg Knox couldn't -- get Montez Billings to reach his considerable potential.

The Super Bowl champion New Orleans Saints will try to divert attention from the Vicodin scandal and -- get Montez Billings to reach his considerable potential.

Well duh shit, they're supposed to be. I guess people don't understand what a beat writer is for.
Marshall was good, but now he's just a blogger.

I agree....thats their job.
I like him much better when he wrote for the paper (and AL.com). Now you gotta pay monthly to see the goods.
