Paul Finebaum radio show picked up by Sirius XM

The Paul Finebaum Radio Network is going nationwide.
The Sirius XM Sports Nation satellite channel has picked up Finebaum's popular sports-talk show and should begin airing it as early as Monday afternoon, Finebaum said Thursday.
"I'm not saying we're going to knock out Howard Stern -- we're not," he said. "But we can definitely grow the audience and broaden it."
The Sirius XM satellite network's roster includes not only the shock-jock Stern but also shows hosted by nationally known sports opinion-makers such as Dan Patrick, Stephen A. Smith and partners Mike Greenberg and Mike Golic.
Finebaum's show, which originates out of Birmingham's WJOX 94.5 FM and airs on more than 30 affiliates in five Southeastern states, will be simulcast on Sirius Channel 122 and XM Channel 143.
Both channels will carry all four hours of the show, which airs here from 2 to 6 p.m. Mondays through Fridays.
Although the show is going national, Finebaum said he plans to stick to the steady diet of Alabama, Auburn and SEC football issues that have made his show so popular in Birmingham and around the Southeast.
"We may broaden the show from time to time, but I think people like the show the way it is, and I really have no desire to change it," said Finebaum.
Pat Smith -- who, as director of the Paul Finebaum Radio Network, handled most of the negotiations with Sirius XM -- said the satellite network plans to use Finebaum's show to anchor its college sports package.
"They contacted me right after Alabama's national championship game and immediately wanted to pursue negotiations at landing us on the channel," Smith said.
"They are kind of revamping their whole college sports programming, and they wanted us to be a part of it."
Finebaum's deal with Sirius XM was finalized Thursday, WJOX program director Ryan Haney said.
Although financial terms were not available, Smith said it is a multi-year deal.
So now Slimebomb will be ridiculing us, and Tammy and Charles from Realtown will be embarrassing us to the entire nation.

He was on XM once.
He got pulled.
I expect the same results.
-
I don't expect him to have nationwide success with a very niche product.
-
Awesome, now the entire Country will get to hear how obsessed that the bammers are with Auburn. I listened in for about an hour, all the bammers were talking about was Auburn and the Auburn callers....then shithead from Centerpoint gave his opinion on Auburn's basketball program (gasp...imagine that  ) I didn't get to hear Tammy, dang it. She's always good for a hardy laugh.

You manage to find a way to mention something about Alabama in ALOT of your posts. A quick glance at your last 10 posts show that 7 of them contain something related to Alabama.
Just sayin.....

two of those 7 was a reply about Woodson Jr's commitment and the "conspiracy theories".
another was about Tyrik Rollison and his facebook page with bammers telling him to transfer.
So, where does that leave us? 4? Oh yeah, this is a message board not a National Radio Talk Show.
Also.....you're a bammer that's on a Auburn board. How's that Little Brother Syndrome going for ya?

It's certainly not my fault that the majority of Alabama message boards are the way they are. I can actually get some intelligent debate here. Minus you, of course.

Actually turned it onto Sirius 122 today thinking I might catch some March Madness talk or a Rivals Radio rerun. I couldnt hardly believe my eyes when across the screen it said "The Paul Finebaum Show". I thought I was seeing things at first. But then the slimeball started talking. Can't believe it. He is national. So much for trying to correct our stereotype as a state to the rest of the country.

Just sayin.....
FTFY again

Say what you want about Prowler, but his core point was perfect. It's fucking stupid that this shit is on a national channel, but I find myself sort of glad that these fucking idiots are going to be on display for all.
It will be a shining beacon of reasoning of why his presence on ESPN, and other national shows as some sort of "neutral" voice of Alabama (as in the state itself) sports knowledge is a fucking joke. He will finally be exposed.
He's going to be embarrassed on a national scale, and frankly...I'm very cool with that. Just wait till people from New York, and Los Angeles get a earfull of those bafoons.
If I'm an intelligent Alabama fan, like Token, or even a self important Bama sidewalk douche like RWS, I'm embarrassed beyond and ashamed.
-
Slimebaum will be pulled after Bama's first loss in 2010 to San Jose State. Bama nation will be in full meltdown mode after that.

Believe it or not, even alot of folks on BOL say they do not like Finebaum. I think he's an idiot. I don't even read his column in the MPR. I'm astounded at those here who actually listen.

Also when I can't watch uat football games on TV, I listen to them on the radio, because I don't go to Bryant Denny Stadium.
FTFY once again...

Naw. Now not finding any campus library would make him the stereotypical bama fan. Plenty of bammers find their way into the stadium on occassion. RWS is much too perfect to be caught with that gooberish brood.
