Terry Grant has decided to not come back. One down, eight more to go. Should be interesting to see who else will be getting the Ax.

Damn were's the family, where's the love?
-
Terry Grant already graduated and this would be a 5th year while not cracking the 3 deep. He has a NC ring, SEC championship ring and a career in whatever field his degree is in. How could this possibly be considered a case of attrition that would merit starting a new thread during the offseason. Oh, I see.
-
whatever field his degree is in.
I doubt he knows what it is. Speaking of which, did anyone ever tell Mount Blubber what his major was, or did the university wait until graduation just for the sake of suprise?

I've never made it a habit to be concerned with what degree a millionaire has.

Unless, of course, it's an Auburn millionaire with a degree in Sociology. Then the whole country should know.

We all have our strengths and weaknesses. Most of your success will be by doing what you're strong at. A lot of us are probably more intelligent than the aforementioned mount blubber. Few of us are as physically valuable to a contact sport as blubber mountain. Just as we are doing, he's choosing a career that highlights his strengths rather than weaknesses. He's making millions for using his strengths, hardly any of us are making that much by using our strengths. While I think it'd be good to remember what you're majoring in in college I also can't see how knowing that information could be applied so as to create an advantage in his professional career in the NFL. He'll have plenty of time to remember what degree he received when he's no longer playing football.

This logical thinking could have come straight from one of my 10th grade students.
And I teach dumbasses.

I'm not saying it should be that way but it certainly is that way. If it wasn't, kids wouldn't leave before getting a degree. It also doesn't mean they're making such a bad choice, though. Reminds me of a quote from a coach about this subject. "If I have a kid that chooses not to go to the NFL so he can return for his 4th year of college, I question anything he learned the first 3 years.
-
townhall, obviously I would give you guys unrelenting shit if it were an Auburn player that forgot his major.

So officially, Mount Blubber will be the highest paid speed bump in the US? It's a wonder we have such huge deficits.

Pro football is the most popular sport in America and it produces every dollar paid to its athletes. Not sure what US deficit applies here. We like to watch it and buy shit having to do with it. Because of this, they are able to pay their players while also making loads for themselves.

So.....SPuat paid him a million dollars to plug the middle? I bet Albert Means is pissed.

Yes, but only because he was coming from a juco.
If he were straight out of highschool he'd have gotten two mill.

It has nothing to do with government spending, just the spending mentality in general. You know paying too much for something and all.

Or Travis Sikes.

beat ya to it, lol. That's pretty sad when an Auburn fan knows more about SPuat's roster than a SPuat fan....but, then again, I'm not your normal type fan of College Fooseball.

No that means I am a dummy. You may not be the normal fan but I am a normal dummy.

Not that Auburn has any need to make room since we've been way under the scholly limit lately, but Chiz has trimmed some fat too. Honestly, some have completed their skewling like Grant. We've lost Baliely Woods, John Douglas, Morgan Ogre Hull, Darrell Roseman, Jason King (Walk on) and maybe someone else I can't think of. Now granted, these are not household names who really figured into the big picture (And..we roll 4-5 deep at all these positions). But, we do have a few more scholly openings coming up.

What's the gamble? He'd be a sure thang.
Roll in there in GW's wheelchair and a Hustler magazine and all bases are covered.
