Title: Phillip Lutzenkirchen, Oh My God
Post by: AWK on February 18, 2010, 04:04:05 PM
Everyone knew he was a great recruit when he came in last year, but I didn't know this.  This kid is a freak and will be a future Dallas Clark.   I saw a video from another video of him his senior year, and they mentioned a spectacular catch he made.  I did research, and it was a top ten play on Sportscenter in 2008.  Check this out...Amazing.  I am ready to see him get more playing time next year.

I remember seeing this when it came out.  He was actually a guest on ESPN's Cold Pizza/First Take show to discuss the play after it happened.

Apparently he is quite an athletic guy, but come on, "the next Dallas Clark"?  You're starting to sound like Vagingham with his "Auburn will go 12-0 next year" spiel.

That looks like a forward pass past the line of scrimmage to me.

You can't ever tell how a kid will turn out.  I saw Tommy Trott make more acrobatic catches at Trinity than I had seen anyone make and it just did not transfer to college.

Yeah, but next year will be his "break out" year...I'm expecting big things.  Tray Blackmon and Raven Gray too.

I think he was making a joke at Trott's expense.

Right you are.  I just kept waiting and expecting good things from Trott.  He wasn't bad, and was probably good at some blocking duties and things like that...but as an offensive weapon, he never developed.

AWK, I expect Lutz to be better than Trott for sure, wasn't meaning to be negative towards him....I like him and think he actually will have a break out year and contribute more in 2010 than Trott did the last two years combined (catches I mean).

And you call yourself an Auburn man...

Time to drag out the Creed....

...I believe in work.  Hard work.  I believe in following the decision making process of 18 year old kids and to drool helplessly upon my schwanz when they choose to play foosball for the corches at the University of Auburn....
