Muschamp said no thanks at first, but apparently the deal has been sweetened to the tune of $3 miilion a year and relatively unlimited staff salaries. Wow, gotta be hard to pass that up.

Fixed it for you. And this doesn't surprise me a bit about Mus, He's the kind of hire that would make the AD's negative PR problems of the last 24 hours dry up and blow away. Tennessee is gonna spend major coin this week.

What's interesting is that you're right, it would be a press conference winner. But wow, $3 million for a coordinator that hasn't coached? I guess his bloodlines are pretty impressive....Saban, Tuberville, Mack Brown.

UT is pretty damn desperate at this point. No halfass decent coach wants to go there right now for a normal salary. They would be insane to do so. UT would have to sweeten the pot with some cocaine at this point to make it happen.

Not so fast. Tennessee may be hurting but they do have talent on that team and the SEC East isn't locked in Gators jaws like it has been. That being said, I'm still not sold that Will Muschamp is ready for the SEC or Big XII as a head coach.

Who wants to walk into that mess, though? There is no telling what any coach would be getting himself into, NCAA-wise.

I think the bigger mess is at USC. UT racked up secondary violations under Kiffin. He's gone. What else is there? Did you receive a packet in the mail or something? :poke:

I don't think the hostess thing is over, and with some recruits and players pissed off at Kiffin, there is no telling what may come out. Some may not cut their noses off to spite their face, but some might. Especially some on their way out, or perhaps some uncommitted recruits that were silent commits or close to committing.
