Maybe that close game between Texas and Nebraska wasn't a Texas let down...Nebraska looked pretty damn good tonight and just may be playing as well as anyone. That defense is unreal....certainly as good or better than what Alabama will bring.
Arizona is a decent team. They lost on the last play to Oregon, otherwise they'd be headed to the Rose Bowl as Pac 10 champs. Not great, but a good, solid team.
Nebraska held them to 109 total yards, but most impressive is that more than half of those yards came on the last drive of the game. Arizona had one drive of over 8 yards in the first half (three for the whole game). Nebraska held them to six total first downs, FIVE of them came on the last drive.
Anyway, Nebraska finishes at 10-4 and supposedly should be considerably better next year. Looks like Osborne made a good hire. In 2007, Nebraska was 110th or worse in total defense, defensive points, and rush defense. Two years later they are top 10 in all three categories.

The Blackshirts MAY be back. Pelini is a good coach.
I think Neb vs Bama on D is a toss up. Bama actually has an offense though. If Neb had Bama's O, they would have beat Texas easily. No wait - if Neb learns NOT to horsecollar tackle and how to kickoff INBOUNDS, they win the game.
