Title: How desperate is the effort to discredit?
Post by: Kaos on December 15, 2009, 04:10:54 PM
How pathetic and desperate is the continued effort of the state media to discredit Auburn?

THIS is a story:

But we want to be absolutely clear that the guy in question is not in any way an Auburn fan.

Don't want anyone to think that there are any of THOSE bastards out there.

"the story"....that's the funniest part.  A guy wears an Auburn t-shirt on TV and there is a "story" behind it?

It's a story that must be told.  The world deserves to know the truth.  I think this is the basis for one of the upcoming 30 on 30 ESPN made short films.  I mean, if "the U", and "Jimmy the Greek", and "Len Bias" deserve short films, surely the "story behind the Auburn T-shirt" deserves one.  I'm pretty sure the actor thinks Auburn is in Georgia.

Yeah, I thought that too. He went through a lot of trouble to write that minuscule article in his efforts that in no way shape or form is somebody on National TV going to wear such a dreadful shirt in real life.

This may bump Jason Segel back above Ben Roethlisberger as the #1 person that strangers tell me I look like.

By the way, could they possibly have gotten a bigger picture?

That's smaller than my avatar.

How I Met My Favorite Vintage Auburn Shirt

Seriously Marshall Erikson (AKA Jason Segal, the completely naked dude in Forgetting Sarah Marshall) where did you track down such an awesome relic of SEC style past? I (TJ) must know. Don’t get too overzealous though Auburn fans, as a TV sitcom trying to offend no one and appeal to everyone Lily is wearing houndstooth underwear and picked up a meth addiction to prove How I Met Your Mother isn’t taking any sides in the most heated rivalry in College Football…

No more pathetic or desperate than you trying to discredit Mark Ingram and his Heisman Trophy.  "Mark Ingram is a poor man's Ben Tate."  Maybe the most resounding claim of tardom I've ever heard.

Would it have made you happier if I'd said he was a redneck's Ben Tate?  Because no matter what you say, the two guys are relatively interchangeable.  About the same speed, power, durability and stats.  Tate probably wins in the durability department, actually.

Ingram benefited from a state media jacking itheir collective dicks raw over Bammer being back for the 19th time in my lifetime and the national media followed their lead.  He's no more deserving of the Heisman than I am.

Does it matter which team the actor prefers to watch on television?

The fact still remains.  Auburn got some free publicity on a national TV show.  War Damn.

And you idiot bammers thought the billboards were all we got.  Just wait until Harry Potter 7.

And our beloved state media rushed to assure the masses that nobody liked Auburn, it was just a random thing.

Ingram KILLS Tate in yards after contact.  He's a much harder runner.  If you'd get off your knees and wipe your chin you'd know that.  For what it's worth Tate says you're the best blowjob in the State.

You need to stop trying to hang in with someone way above your intellect. Kaos will eat you alive and you know this.

Ingram's not a bad back. But Ben Tate doesn't automatically suck because he played at Auburn.

You are the reason people hate stupid Bammers because all you know about football is what Paul Finebaum and the jacklegs at the Tucaloosa News tell you.

The only time I hear about Finebaum is when one of you guys post it here.  Seems you guys are the ones listening.  When are you all gonna take off the Auburn glasses and see that Tate isn't that big of a deal.  He's a dime a dozen.  The All-American list came out today.  Was he on the First team???  Was he on the 2nd team???  3rd team?  Damn, if only they had a 4th team, I'm sure he would have been on the 4th team.  Did he even make All-SEC???

Nobody said Tate was that big a deal.  Only that Ingram isn't either.

He's a chump who was in the right place at the right time.

He's a chump that is All-SEC, All-American, Heisman Trophy winner and playing for a National Championship.

It's hard to argue with you when you make a point like that.

It's hard to argue with you when you make solid, irrefutable points like that.

Lets get back to this subject in two years after their NFL rookie season and lets see who is "that big of a deal".

Mark Ingram couldn't hold Ronnie Browns jockstrap...or Shaun Alexanders for that matter.
