One year in, Auburn has accepted Gene Chizik
By Charles Goldberg -- The Birmingham News
December 14, 2009, 8:15AM
AUBURN -- Jay Jacobs figured the hiring of Gene Chizik as his football coach might raise a few eyebrows. What Auburn's athletics director didn't expect was the firestorm that ensued.
The national media questioned the hiring of Chizik, who had led Iowa State to only five wins in two years, and raised the issue of race because the school passed over University of Buffalo coach Turner Gill. They, and many Auburn fans, believed the school could have and should have made a better hire.
But the one-year anniversary of Chizik's hire passed quietly Sunday not with a team in disarray, but with the Tigers preparing for a New Year's Day bowl game and what may be their best recruiting class in years.
Jacobs welcomed the anniversary by noting a turnaround season. And many fans and commentators have a different perspective now.
A Birmingham News online poll during the weekend found 80.3 percent of the 2,834 people who responded said they like the hire, a dramatic increase over the 15.1 percent who liked the choice when The News asked the same question one year ago today. Only 5.2 percent of this year's respondents said they don't like the hire, down from 47.4 a year ago. A third, wait-and-see option dropped from 37.5 percent a year ago to 14.5 percent this year.
The mood a year ago was reflected in other ways too. Charles Barkley, not an expert on football but one of the school's most recognizable former athletes, attacked the hiring. An ESPN headline said, "Auburn Tigers downgrade in hiring Gene Chizik." Chizik was talk show and Internet fodder.
It got so bad that former coach Pat Dye felt compelled three days after the hiring to rally the troops, sending an e-mail to members of Tigers Unlimited, the school's athletics fundraising organization, asking fans to support Chizik.
Nobody faulted Chizik for taking the job. Jacobs was the point man in the hiring, a process that included interviews of at least eight candidates, and was the man caught in the immediate fallout.
"It bothered me. It bothered me because I grew up Auburn," Jacobs said. "It bothered me, but it didn't bother me to the point where I lost focus of what the task was at hand."
The task at hand, he said, was to change the culture of the team that finished so poorly the season before.
"I knew it wouldn't necessarily be a popular choice at the time, but I thought that people would see the same things I saw," Jacobs said. "I've had an advantaged seat here. I've seen the atmosphere, I've seen the culture around this program. I knew what kind of change we needed."
A year later, he said, Chizik "has changed that culture inside the department, and that's phenomenal in itself."
A year later, the media have moved on to other topics.
Tony Barnhart of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution and CBS, and a measured national voice, wondered in print a year ago whether Chizik was the right candidate at a time when Auburn was struggling and Alabama was surging.
"I think the national perspective in the beginning was Auburn hired a 5-19 football coach," Barnhart said last week. "They were looking at the reaction within Alabama. Now, I think you can say, 'You know what? The guy had a plan.' He hired an innovative guy on offense (Gus Malzahn), a proven guy on defense (Ted Roof). I believe the national perspective is that Auburn is better than a lot of people thought they'd be. Were they really, really good? No, but nobody thought they'd be really, really good.
"If you listened to the fans, Armageddon was coming. But what happens? They play Alabama down to the wire. All in all, it was not a bad first year."
The change in perspective came, he said, early in the season.
"I think that might have been when they went on the road and beat Tennessee. I think people said, 'OK, maybe these guys know what they're doing,'" Barnhart said.
Changing minds
Bo Jackson won a Heisman Trophy at Auburn and has embraced Chizik, probably spending more time around the team this season than the previous 10 combined. But it was another one of Auburn's famous former athletes, former basketball star Barkley, who was most quoted after Chizik's hiring. He turned up the heat when he said Auburn didn't hire Gill because he is black.
A year later, Barkley hasn't toned down his criticism, but reminds people of his original point.
"I never said a bad word about Gene Chizik, and I never will. It was about the hiring process, and the lack of minority coaches," Barkley said. "I said the exact same thing when Sylvester Croom was passed over in favor of Mike Shula (at Alabama). That was an even bigger travesty."
Barkley said hiring Gill "would have given Auburn instant national recognition. I said Auburn couldn't get just a good coach. Auburn had to make a splash. Turner would've been the right hire."
Gill was on his way to an 8-6 season when he interviewed with Auburn. A year later, Buffalo is 5-7, and Gill just became Kansas' coach.
Unlike Jackson, Barkley said he hasn't spoken to Chizik.
"I'm the black sheep of the family. They don't reach out to me anymore," Barkley said.
But, he added, "He's the Auburn coach, and I'm pulling for him."
Other Auburn supporters had other concerns about the choice of Chizik.
Former Auburn quarterback Stan White said he was surprised that Chizik was Auburn's choice, "not because I didn't think he could do it, but simply because his name surfaced so late in the process.
"... He's unified the whole Auburn base in a short time. I don't know if he's turned the corner yet, but it's pretty obvious he's excited the fan base and a lot of the ex-ballplayers as well."
Another ex-player agreed.
"I was guilty, along with probably 90 percent of the fans, of just being really surprised at the choice," said former quarterback Ben Leard. "... Unfortunately, Coach Chizik's forecast was measured on his stint at Iowa State. Based off of that, the future did not look very bright."
Leard says now he is "unbelievably surprised at how well they've done. You could tell they were going to be successful by the staff he hired."
Both White and Leard said they're pleased that Chizik has been aggressive in recruiting top talent.
"He's taken some outside-the-box thinking when it comes to getting Auburn's name out there," White said.
Fans optimistic
Most of the fans who left comments with The Birmingham News' online poll were optimistic for Auburn's future.
"Just think," wrote pesportsman, "how it felt to be an Auburn fan this time last year and think about the massive change that has taken place over the last 365 days. How can anyone feel like he hasn't done a great job?"
Auburn is 7-5 this season with its share of close wins and three SEC losses by a touchdown or less. Chizik hasn't changed his demeanor during the season of ups and downs, and maintains he doesn't worry what others say.
"I chose to isolate myself from all the external things out there, both positive and negative," he said. "I don't think you can let those things affect you one way or the other. You lay down a plan on what you need to do, and you stay focused on that plan. ... I don't know who the critics are, and I don't know what they think.
"I know I won't be able to control any of those things. It's not even something I give any regard to."
Not a vindication
Jacobs played for Dye at Auburn.
"I thought going through three-a-days would be the toughest thing I'd ever go through," Jacobs said.
Then he went about hiring a football coach.
"My whole goal goes back to what I told our players the Thursday night after Tommy Tuberville left: 'I'm going to hire the best coach, and I'm going to be relentless in doing so.'"
It was a whirlwind 10 days of interviews.
Late in the process, Jacobs interviewed Chizik in Dallas on a Thursday. Jacobs and President Jay Gogue interviewed him again two days later in Memphis. Word that he'd be hired soon leaked out.
"I knew I could walk into my house and see my three daughters and say, 'It's not popular, but I know I'm doing what's best for this team,'" Jacobs said.
A year later, Jacobs believes "the final analysis of this year is we couldn't have picked a better person to lead this team."
He is not looking for vindication in Auburn's winning record and bowl trip, he said.
"The thing that gives me the most satisfaction are these 14 seniors get a chance to go out and hold their head high," Jacobs said. "That isn't always the case for a senior class after a coaching change. I'm as happy as I can be for those guys. I don't need any vindication."
Jacobs said he senses Chizik has won over most fans.
"When we lost to our in-state rival, and our fans stayed in the stadium and chanted, 'It's great to be an Auburn Tiger,' any person will look at that and say there's a positive perception at what this team has done."
As for Chizik, the ride so far "has been great.
"It's been a journey, and a semi-unique one, but I've been blessed and I really feel like it's been a great first year."
-
As if Auburn fans had a choice!
They weren't going to can the guy one year in and that was obvious.
The choices were: 1)Continue to support Auburn 2)Be an asshole and jump on the bammer wagon 3)Give up college football.
Folks, what if 7-8 wins is as good as it gets?
-
I don't like the hire.
People are such sheep.

This time last year I had a pitchfork in hand ready to maul Jay Jacobs. A year later, and I'm pleased with the job that Chizik has done since he's arrived on campus. We have the potential to land a top-5 recruiting class and the season was about what I expected. I'm cautiously optimistic about the future.
I still want to maul Jay Jacobs though.

Maybe 10-15, but top 5 is getting into LSU/USC land and I don't think it's reasonable to expect such from a staff that went 7-5 in the regular season.
10-15 would be nice and would start to build a talent base here. Listen to what the coaches say. Ted Roof has said he's never coached a team this thin in his whole career and that dude has been around. That takes a long time to rebuild.

Seven wins is better than five. This is really all we have to go with at this point.

You better poll the jury. Mitigating factors and all.
2008: Lost to Alabama, Georgia, LSU, Vanderbilt, Arkansas and Ole Miss. Beat Tennessee and Mississippi State.
2009: Lost to Alabama, Georgia, LSU, Kentucky, Arkansas. Beat Tennessee, Mississippi State and Ole Miss.
I'm not raising the flag of success over either endeavor. That's simply unacceptable.

Would a paper-thin roster count as a "mitigating factor"?

We're in the top 10 now, so why would it be unreasonable for us to finish in the top 5? Especially when there is a great chance to land a few very highly regarded and star heavy players before, or by February?
-
As most of you have figured out by now I figured that the bastard would have been gone by Halloween.
I was wrong on that count. But am I wrong that he is NOT a good hire for Auburn? On that I sure as hell am not wrong in the least. I'm not interested in a single season where we couldn't win because we were weak on players....unless we won then it was despite being weak. Gene Chizik as a head coach is a losing proposition, a long term losing proposition. Now that he is going to be here for at least 4 years he will leave the program in complete shambles. Fuck him. And Mr. Sensible there is a 4th choice support Auburn by opposing chizik and his monkey fucking handlers. That is the path I am proud to take.

It's possible, but not likely. We have 23 committed now, with just a few to add (although it could be as many as 10 depending on how many sign in January and count towards last years class).
But if you look right behind us in the rankings, USC has only 14 and is ranked #9. Georgia has 19. Notre Dame 18, Florida State 19. So those teams are going to add players and could very well pass us (at least USC and Georgia).
So I expect we'll end up in the 8-12 range, but top 5 would mean we land everyone else we hope to get, which just isn't likely.

I know this is a futile task (attempting to get logic from you), but at least give some rational example of how you are convinced we'll be in shambles in 4 years. You could be right, but judging from how the team played this year, and how the first two recruiting classes have looked, what actual evidence do you have to feel that your personal vendetta against this guy looks like it's being vindicated by his "obvious" total failure?
I know you have no answer, because there isn't one...I just wonder if you'll come to the same conclusion.

Will not 3 of those guys be enrolling early and counting towards last years class, actually bringing our # down to 20? Sanders, Curry and Bolomono (sp)?

Yeah, that's why I said we could still be adding as many as 10 ("although it could be as many as 10 depending on how many sign in January and count towards last years class").
We can sign up to 5 in January for last year's class, which would put us at 18. We can then sign ten more to get to the 28 maximum (and then place 3).
I think they're hoping Roszell Gayden (the OL JUCO player) is also one of those early signees.
-
Chizik is a winner for one season. Terry Bowden fell out of a tree with Dye's wounded bunch and went undefeated. We know how that ended. Brother Bill, so good to...see ya. So then there is the Turner Gill crowd-what about the children? Please, Tuberville and the BBQ boys started quitting on Auburn after "Jetgate". They never put full effort into anything after that. That regime was a rotting corpse long before it left town.
So here's the deal: Chizik will never be fully accepted as Auburn's guy. I hate to say it and it truly hurts because this is a staff that has it together. Only a guy by the name of Jacobs hired him and that will never be acceptible. It's like he has this pre-election Muslim tag or something. It doesn't matter how well he does, some people can't deal with it. Pat Dye was the only hire that has been accepted by the Auburn faithful in my time. This is just how I perceive the situation. And I don't think there was a better choice "this time".
-
You really can only say that NOW, because he never went elsewhere. He stayed here, therefor remaining an Auburn man. Had he bolted to UGA or Tenn, his name would be taboo around Auburn.
If Tubbs sticks around for the next 10 years (won't happen, just being hypothetical) and helps out the University.... he'll be looked BACK upon as a great Auburn Legend.
People forget the scandal that happened with the Dye era, the reason we were on probation etc., just like they'll forget the recruiting mess Tubb's left us in (as long as he doesn't go to another SEC team and ruin it.)
That's my take on it.
-
Besides using the word "blueprint," the phrase "day by day," and being the choice of Jay Jacobs, Chizik has not warranted much criticism.
I'm not sure if there's anything tangible to criticize. I know some have that tingling feeling, but as for what's been done on the field, I can't say that Chizik hasn't been good.
Now, next year will tell a lot. With recruiting going well and there still being talent in the cupboard, we should have a good season.
-

You know it goes back to guilt by association. Look at who/whom he has chosen to align himself with since his return. ADs, ex coaches and BOT members etc. Look at the shambles they left us in last time. History tends to repeat itself especially when you don't learn to let the past go. It tends to jump up and bite you in the ass.
-
Improvement was made from last year, so I can't complain. However, I am sure I am not alone with a guarded optimism. We need to keep seeing improvement and give the guy a chance to get his recruits into the starting lineup. It seems that we have a problem with coaches getting complacent when they become successful, so maybe CGC, if he ever becomes successful here, will maintain that fire to win.

No we haven't forgot and no we won't forget. There are those "fans" who don't recall anything past getting Bama to play here and getting us given equal footing in the state and conveniently forget the whole Eric Ramsey & quitting before the bama game (and the NCAA sanctions). No as a student of history I can safely say thatthis is not a good thing in the long term.

Stop insinuating it with all of your posts. You think Gene Chizik and his staff are cheating to get recruits. Is it the fact that Pat Dye has shown his face lately that makes you believe this? Or do you have concrete evidence?

Allow me a moment to jump in here.
I don't know without a doubt that Chizik and his staff aren't cheating to get recruits.
I don't have proof the Moon landing was fake.
I don't have evidence that the government lies to us more than we could ever imagine.
I don't have documentation that the majority of Bama fans are cousin humping loser methmouths.
The lack of quantifiable evidence doesn't stop me from believing any of the above.

It's not like that kind of thing doesn't happen at other programs fighting for spots in conferences and what not.
And the folks behind the scenes, that's what they know.
I hope I'm wrong, but I won't be surprised if I'm not and all this effort to keep up with the Jones' lands Auburn in hot water. Again.
Of course, I'm one of those who thinks we should drop this whole "student-athlete" facade and pay these guys and women for what they do. But that's for another post in May.

But (except for the moon landing) we can go on and on with all kinds of examples and ideas as to why we think the government lies and why we KNOW most bama fans are CHLM....
So I think you can at the very least give us some insight into why you're so sure we're cheating. I'm not saying everything is perfect in every recruiting case, but why are we cheating? Just because we're getting good recruits? Does that mean Tuberville cheated when he got them? Does that mean Richt is cheating? Miles? Meyer? Saban? Brown? Carroll? Stoops? Where is the line drawn on who is just a good group of recruiters and gets the "cheating" label?
Personally, when you look at the kind of kids we get a lot of the time, I don't think it's a coincidence that a lot of them mention "we're just going to pray about it" and "I just want to be where God wants me to be". Those kinds of statements are pretty common in Auburn recruits. Not all, but quite a few, and I would say a higher % than you see from the kids that end up at Bama and LSU, etc. The reason is that much of our staff have the same priorities in their own lives, and that attracts those kinds of kids and families. Most of those types (Dyer types) aren't going to find that common ground with the staff at Tennessee or at Alabama or at LSU. That's just a fact.
And on a bigger scale, we all can agree that Auburn (in general, not in every single case) tends to draw a particular kind of person. Not all the same religiously or from the same background, but most of us know that we knew at some specific point that Auburn was a special place and that we (individually) were "Auburn people". I don't know why would should think that is any different when it comes to recruits. I believe that there are some who come to Auburn and find that there is something inside them that knows Auburn is special, it's different, and that it's where they want to be. Read my signature....that's the kind of player I'm talking about.
Anyway, just curious if you do have specific reasons for accusing them of cheating, or if you just assume it because all the good programs do it?

You are not wrong about the kind of things these recruits say. I will say however that not everyone who invokes religion in their public discourse is genuine. Just the way it is. (See gangstas from "the U" who wear crosses and such.) So, that's never swayed me one way or another on a player. I don't know if highly touted recruits care much about finding common ground with coaches as much as they want coaches/programs who can get them to the next level. Even the mediocre players talk about wanting to play in "the league." I can't explain how I know that, but I've heard, read, seen that in person multiple times.
And on a bigger scale, we all can agree that Auburn (in general, not in every single case) tends to draw a particular kind of person. I'm not naive enough to think some under the table stuff doesn't happen at major programs.

I'm having some problems posting but Dye gets mostly a free pass by the general AU fan. I thought Tubs was a crummy hire from Ole Miss. They are happy with 7 wins if they can get 'em. Turned out I was wrong and Tubs gets a pass because of his record against Tuscaloosa. I cannot recall Auburn ever going for a concensus heavyweight of a head coach in my time. Vince Dooley is the most familiar.

Okay, let me see if I can sort this out.
There is a concern that AU will land in trouble again espoused by Sensible. Not saying that AU is doing anything differently than any other program, just that due to external forces (a salivating Bama-controlled media and a booster base hell bent on not just winning, but destroying Auburn) the risk is greater now than it has been for decades.
That about it?
Can't disagree with that. As we've all stated on various occasions, if you dig hard enough at any college -- even UAB and Troy -- you'll find something askew. And once the lid comes off even a little that shit has a habit of snowballing.
Can't disagree with the risk either. There's no question that the Bama bastards sense an opportunity to "put us barners in our damn place" not realizing that for most of the last 30 years and most of history prior to 55 years ago, our "place" as it were was dominating and lording over them. They hate us because for all their on-field success they'll never, ever, ever be as good as Auburn. We threaten them because we have something they can never have. They are and always will be frauds. We are not. It is their mission to destroy us for that reason.
So the risk is there. It's very, very real. We've already seen evidence of our beat writer -- a fucker who has the audacity to market an Auburn book -- turning us in to the SEC and then the NCAA when the SEC didn't act quickly enough to suit him. The paper that employs him says "fuck you" to those of us who demand change or at the very least balance. If they find something they will do everything in their power to send the hounds after us because that accomplishes two things. It allows them to continue to cheat with impunity because attention is focused elsewhere and it helps them destroy our program.
But you know what? What those fuckers can never understand is that even if they got the Auburn football program disbanded for eternity, most of us would still love Auburn just as much as we do now. There are a few exceptions, but most of us love AUBURN, not the football team. If Bama didn't have a football program? The vast majority of those fat, pork-rind eating pole puffers would be adrift with nothing to validate them. They would be even more hopeless, helpless and pathetic than they are now.

Isn't your main reason for hating Chizik some obscure personal animosity from your past that you apparently haven't let go?
Irony. It's a bitch.
No deary its a rather weak attempt to bring my personal beliefs into a discussion as to whether those who fraternize with quitters and cheaters will continue the legacy of cheating, probation and quitting. I had no personal problem with chizik till he was named interim head coach. Then he became a direct line threat to Auburn and I have a problem with that. Sweets I'm willing to bet that I am by far and away the oldest member on this forum. The bad years at Auburn you experienced as a grammar schooler was a daily reality of adulthood for those of us who remember what we are discussing. Now run along and play dominatrix for someone who is the least bit amused by your act.

I hate to call you out, but you did indeed say that your hatred of Chizik stemmed from something he had done personally to you or yours. Just stating the facts.
-
I don't hate it at all.
The dipshit can't keep his bullshit straight, and it's laughable.
-
Pick your fights wisely GW. I would hesitate before I brought the wrath of Wench and Sweets down on you in all it's glory.
Not a good place to be.

Quotes from the Weasel from another board back before we even had a staff assembled.
Congratulations our season will never last past Christmas anymore. New Years day (and later) bowls are a thing of the past. Enjoy your mediocrity.
When does common sense returnand the firing process begin? Mid October at the latest.
None of us want to live through 1 bad season much less 2 on account of this fiasco (or any other fiasco for that matter). But the sooner we can clean house and move on the sooner it will be over.
Harry I know way more than I can let on. my facts are straight and I am unwavering in my belief that hiring chizik was the single worst act committed against Auburn since the Eric Ramsey situation.
Here is the deal about my personnal beef with chiztard.
It is on a personnal level.
It has nothing to do with football.
What he did to a person who I give a lot more credence to than nameless/faceless posters on a message board was on a personal level. Again it had nothing to do with football.
I gave my word that I would not mention this non-football related thing to anyone and being a man of my word I cannot and shall not. But rest assured it is not about football.

Stolt from Clark at woopig. Alibi central excuses.

It wasn't me. I was logged onto my roommates computer and he did that because I didn't logoff.
Someone haXXorD my computer and posted via proxy. I swear!
My retardation was acting up last night. I hadn't taken my meds.
I was just testing you guys.
I have teh cancer.
I'm crazy.

ok let me try to sort and straighten this out so the short bus riders can understand exactly what meant by what I said.
(1) This meant that this thread is not about me or my personal feelings towards chizik but rather about the possible ramifications of possible/probable actions of certain employees and oversight of the Auburn family during his administration and or subsequent recruitments.
(2) He had left Auburn and in doing so I had moved on to other things in my life. I had no reason to worry with or about him anymore and therefore I had no more personal problems with or about him. He came back and it was on once again. Not a decision made by me so there was again no reason for me to do anthing but laugh at his pathetic head coaching attempt at ISU.
(3) I'm stinking old enough to actually have witnessed these things first hand...and I did.
(4) Inside every dominatrix is a scared little girl who acts tough to try and cover her weakness and vulnerability.
Now do you see and understand that I had not changed a single opinion nor have I tried to crawfish from my stand that the chizik hire is one of the darkest moments in the history Auburn University. Oh and Jadennis while you hunted up some stuff from a board that I was kicked off of for posting personal messages from a moderator who threatened me with bodily harm (immediately after he deleted and removed all the personal message) shows quite a bit of stalkerish behavior. You may want to consider a hobby or a few therapy sessions. And lastly to pigtitty, I stand by what I have said. I was not drunk (well sometimes I may have been) It was/is me, No one else logged onto this computer, I've never been hacked but an x-wife did stab me in a fit of rage, I don't test people, I'm completely healthy and sane.
-
Can't disagree with that. As we've all stated on various occasions, if you dig hard enough at any college -- even UAB and Troy -- you'll find something askew. And once the lid comes off even a little that shit has a habit of snowballing.
Add UWA to that list of any college....BTW, the NCAA knows my real name along with a handful of other ex-football players that was associated with the ordeal that came down like a sledge hammer (within a week). And it all stemmed from free usage of the AD telephone to call home for free. Also, the HC that was fired has been at FSU for the past two years....following Coach Chuck Amato from NC State.

Stalking you? Yeah, it took all of about 2 minutes to type in your name and come across your typical bullshit posts. It's not like I had to search or sort through your logical, rational, well thought out posts to find the few obsessive Chizik-hating rants....that's actually all there were.
Thanks for sharing the detail about your ex-wife...we're all shocked to hear about it.

I read that five times. It still didn't make any sense.

At West Alabama Prowler was able to call long distance using a phone in the athletic department, putting him in the Ncaa investigation into violations. Coach Stroud also rented out the house the university provided for him to athletes and pocketing the players scholarship money. Todd Stroud is currently a member of Bobby Bowdens staff at Florida State.

That's 2 investigations he has been in now. Boys I think we found the rat. Sani get a rope.

JA, you should know not to argue with idiots. Youre a smart guy - just dont waste your breath.
So, let me see:
GreasyPenis says Chiz would be gone by October. Doesnt know why - he just will - EPIC FAIL
GreasyPenis attempts to take on Wench and Sweets at the same time actually thinking he can hold that argument - EPIC FAIL
GreasyPenis states that he has personal conflict with Chizik. He cant say why or what but he does and thats the problem he has. Yet, he claims on here he has no personal issues with Chiz. Caught in a quandry? - EPIC EPIC FAIL
Good grief dumbass, at least Kaos provides an intellectual argument to the whole love Chiz/hate Chiz matchup. You are nothing but a bumbling, senile fucktard. Do you seriously know how BAD you look outside of your bipolar bubble you live in? JA is no stalker, he is just calling you out on some of your bullshit and you can't take it.

Inside every dominatrix is a scared little girl who acts tough to try and cover her weakness and vulnerability
Uh, yeah. News flash - I am not a dominatrix in real life, only in Vagisil's fantasies. A woman does not get to where I am in the oil bidness by being a whiny little girl, but you just keep on imagining that you are right if it helps you sleep at night. What a pathetic attempt at using ridiculous pop psychology to deflect that plate of crow that was just passed to you for your mid-morning snack.
(Wait, is this the part where I am supposed to tear up and let my lower lip quiver and cry to Ogre and the Godfather that mean old Weasel is hurting my feelings and making me cry??? Yeah, ok. Do us all a favor, and hold your breath until that happens...)
Bottom line - you are a liar and a moron. You went on about not letting go of the past - and I called you on it. You denied that you have a personal beef with/about Coach Chizik. JAD proved you are a liar. So it seems to me that in fact YOU are the scared little girl who acts tough to try and cover her weakness and vunerability.
I don't give a flying fuck at a doughnut about your opinions on any subject or any love you profess to feel for Auburn. I still think you are a walking, talking, irrational gloom and doom spewing idiot who does nothing to represent Auburn in a positive light. You have been proven to be a liar, and what little credibility you might have ever had on this board is gone. We don't ban people, but the fact that you have been R-U-N-N-O-F-T from every other board you have ever been on should be some indication to you that people are tired of your schtick and wish you would just shut the hell up. Add me to that list.

Don't forget to add that his ex-wife eventually was driven to stab him...another indication that "shut the hell up" just doesn't work.

At West Alabama, Prowler was able to call long distance using a phone in the athletic department, putting him in the NCAA investigation into violations. Coach Stroud also rented out the house that the University provided for him to athletes and pocketing the players scholarship money, by forging their signatures. Then, after being fired from UWA and after we (five players and a two assistant coaches) moved out, the house Mysteriously burned to the ground. Todd Stroud is currently a member of ex-Coach Bobby Bowden's staff at Florida State.
I tied up some loose ends for ya.

I tied up some loose ends for ya.
I forgot about the House burning down, I do remember his wife was smokin' hot.

I forgot about the House burning down, I do remember his wife was smokin' hot.
I was talking about his wife at work today, something came up about Coach Kiffin's wife...it was something about how she's the hottest coach's wife in the South. I had to correct them. At first they wondered how I knew what she looked like, since I told them that the Associate HC at FSU had a hotter one. Then I went ahead and told them the story about my brother coming really close to killing her (she put anti-freeze in our dog's water bowl, we know it was her because she had just left the house and she'd repeatedly said that she wanted our dog out of our house). Remember the word on the skreets at that time, about her?

So, let me see:
GreasyPenis says Chiz would be gone by October. Doesnt know why - he just will - EPIC FAIL
True and I'm man enough to admit it.
GreasyPenis attempts to take on Wench and Sweets at the same time actually thinking he can hold that argument - EPIC FAIL
False I'm not taking on anyone, Ms. Prowler is the only one on here who is able to argue and win. He does it every time.
GreasyPenis states that he has personal conflict with Chizik. He cant say why or what but he does and thats the problem he has. Yet, he claims on here he has no personal issues with Chiz. Caught in a quandry? - EPIC EPIC FAIL
False, its a family squabble between my father and chizik. But it actually goes back to Pat D and my grandfather.
Good grief dumbass, at least Kaos provides an intellectual argument to the whole love Chiz/hate Chiz matchup. You are nothing but a bumbling, senile. Do you seriously know how BAD you look outside of your bipolar bubble you live in? JA is no stalker, he is just calling you out on some of your bullshit and you can't take it. No, I took it and I answered it and all charges. Guilty as charged both of being true to Auburn and against the staff. It is possible you know.
Happy now?

Not "Driven" to just stupidly given the chance to. Here is the story. Itsgood for a laugh and a moral lesson.
She came to see me to sign the divorce decree and freedom pronouncement. I made the mistake (thanks to a few drinks before she got there) of turning around a letting her sign the papers using my back for a desk. Never ever under any circumstance turn your back and allow a woman who is mere seconds from being out of your life forever to have a free shot at you with a Bic pen. The scar under my right shoulder blade proves the stupidity of that move. From what I hear she still has the pen over her mantelpiece.
Listen and learn my friends listen and learn.

Just another reason you are an idiot. I wouldn't let my ex-wife any where around me with a chance to do something like that. I don't think she would do that because she is evil in other ways and that would actually leave proof of her psychoness...but I'll be damned if I would give her a chance...
