Just for reference, here is the call in question. It is around the :34 second mark

Arkansas gets Screwed by Refs, Worst call I Have ever seen (Personal Foul (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zzLLs1oeLgo#)

Now, if they called an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty for him reaching out as if he was going to help the defender up, and then pull his arm away as the defender extended his arm to grab #96 hand, I could sort-of see that. I wouldn't completely agree with that, but I could see it. But just straight up personal foul? If they are calling it on the hit, what, are football players not allowed to brace themselves when somebody is trying to take a cheap, but legal shot at them? It almost looks as if the ref didn't see the whole thing and just saw a blue jersey flying to the ground, and a white jersey walking with a little swagger. Bad call. I'm glad they were suspended....they were supposed to be the crew for the UT vs UA game this weekend. Not sure how true that is, though.

The only reasonable explanation is that the ref that threw the flag was watching the end of the play and just so happened to look up and see #76 flying through the air late.

Although, it was a total hose job.

FYI, Petrino has been publically reprimanded by the SEC for public criticism of the refs. Now, the SEC did suspend the refs. I understand that they aren't supposed to publically talk shit about the refs, but apparently he did have a reason. I would have just let it slide if I were the SEC, but I suppose then that would set a precedent.
