The black eye of the SEC is a photobucket ad?

I think it was a clip of Arkansas' secondary.

I think it was a clip of Arkansas' secondary.

It was an SEC reffing crew getting their pay off.

I saw the Rudy film, I just wanted to bust the hog's chops a little.

Didn't know when it went inactive.  Thought you might not have really known.

I thought our secondary looked pretty good the last two weeks.  Tough to beat Touchdown Jesus and his striped shirt protectors.  Just one small example:

You know what, I was watching that game and now I remember them spoting that ball a little further than where the ball actually was when Tebow's knee touched.  I remember that little yellow line and saying he didn't get it...but then I wondered why they were even going for a measurement because it looked like he was a close to a full yard short of the yellow line (I know that the yellow line isn't always correct, but it's a pretty close reference marker for those of us watching on TV).  I also remember none of the commentators talking about the spot of the ball and wishing that they'd show the replay, which of course they didn't.

Like I told Boar Titties, Arkansas got hosed by the refs on more than one occasion and this was one of them.  It was bad enough to have to hear Vern "Would that be an Incomplete Pass?" Lundquist call the game, but we got to watch the SEC Officials decide on who "they" wanted to win.

Just heard that the crew who refereed our game has been suspended for 2 weeks. This is the same crew who called the excessive celebration penalty against AJ Green in the Ga-LSU game.

The call against Malcolm Shepard is bad. A ref is right there and he doesn't call it. It was called from away.

Arkansas gets screwed by SEC referees (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zO78BDleQjA#)

If you watch the video, Tebow got more yardage. The still photo does not show his forward progress.

Yeah, watching the actual footage again, I think the placement of the ball is correct, but the orange marker line looks to be a full yard off.  Vern "Would that be an incomplete pass?" Lunquist even said...first down?  Nope, second down....but they got the first anyway, I would've like to have seen where the chains actually were, before they brought them out for the measurement.

1st down at the 29. Tebow had to get to the 19. The yellow line was off.

Agreed.  I think the ball mark was close.  The unsportsmanlike against Shepard was a complete joke.  Maybe the worst call I've ever seen.

It was a personal foul, meaning the hit itself versus unsportsmanlike which could have been lip or the hand deal. A zebra is right there and he doesn't make the call. I bet he's gonna be pissed about losing 3 weeks pay because of his buddy.

Well, it's his fault for not stepping into the conversation and making an argument to waive off the flag.  Especially at such a pivotal part of the game.

It was all fun and games until they got called on it. Slive suspended the crew, not the head of officials, Redding. This was probably not a good week to have any infractions noted. Even a piece of tape.
Too much national interest in SEC officiating this week. As bad as some of us hate opposing conference members, remember, the rest of the country hates us all. They want to see the conference fucked up.

You're right, the orange line is off by a half yard.  Not only is the marker line off, but it actually should've been (2nd and 8) not (2nd and 9), the line of scrimmage is set at the 27 1/4 yardline, the initial (1st and 10) line of scrimmage is set on the 28 3/4 yardline...the first down would be 9 yards away, which would put it at the 18 1/4 yardline the orange marker line is on the 18 yardline.  Also, Vern "Would that be an incomplete pass?" Lundquist didn't know what down it was when he thought that Tebow had been stopped short when he said, "first down? Nope, second down."  It should've been third and very, very short.

That alone didn't cause us to lose the game. We had our chance to win. It has opened the conference up to a lot more scrutiny(if that is even possible). Maybe this will help yall in Red Stick. That's always been a good place to get hosed in.

I don't question that he only saw the Arkansas DLineman hitting that OLineman and knocking him down, well away from the play.....I'm wondering why that ref, that was right there when it happened, didn't step up and say that the DLineman was defending himself, because the OLineman was initiating the contact.
