Post by: Birmingham on October 08, 2009, 08:54:33 PM
Who wins this week?  I'm going with Todd.

Chris Todd
20-30, 390yds, 4 TD, 1 INT

Greg McElroy
18-28, 221, 2 TD, 0 INT

So with Todd throwing for 4 TDs, you're assuming that Auburn either misses a few extra points, or gets a safety?

Those are some big numbers for a linebacker.

I'll keep my scoring prediction you bunch of smart asses and say that it arrives from a failed 2-point conversion and a field goal.

It could happen.  Wes Byrum may be pretty beat up after taking on blockers and running backs all day.

Not going to happen...

Yes...  I am predicting Byrum to at least get 20 tackles against Arkansas alone.  Never have seen anyone read an offense like this guy....  ;)

I'd go postal on some mother fuckers if they scored  7 touchdowns on us.

If Wes Byrum is such a good linebacker, why haven't they extended a scholarship offer to him?  We only have like 18 players on scholarship, why not add him...he's a valuable part of our 2-8-1 defensive scheme.

If Arkansas is scoring 52 points, why would we bother going for two?

What's more likely is that after one of their 7 touchdowns, the holder, out of sheer fatigue, drops the snap on the extra point and Auburn runs it back for two points.

Alabama's defense and Auburn's defense are two different animals.  Not being a homer just stating the facts.

Mallett is certainly capable of putting up huge numbers on Auburns defense.  I for one predict that it's about to happen.

For all the offensive fireworks everyone is expecting, this could be a 3-2 shootout for all we know.

You are certainly correct, sir.  I find making predictions (eating crow) fun for everyone.

Nope, because you're a fuckin' douche that likes to put EVERY prediction that you make in your signature, like it's going to make it come true or something.

I'll make sure to find it tomorrow.

Damn that's a tough call. I'll take Todd because there is no exception for speed except when I'm talking about Todd. Arky is tough at home but AU wins which is all that's important.

LOL, I was thinking the same.  Sorry guys, I jinxed us.  I was the one that caused Mario to fumble the kickreturn, caused Tate to fumble on the five yardline going in, caused Todd to fumble on the 10 yardline coming out.....and caused the Tigers to get called for 475 yards of penalties.  Again sorry guys.

AU has 54 penalty yards for the Arky game......FWIW, AU had 86 against Ball State. Don't blame it all on the penalties.

You have some reading comprehension problems...like always.  I'm not blaming it ALL on the penalties, you should go back and read my post s..l..o..w..l..y.  I'm not sure how many actual penalty yards Auburn had, but I do know that on just about every drive Auburn seemed to get called for PI, eventhough a couple of them were iffy pass intereferance calls.

Arkansas came to play, Auburn was still asleep.

No one with any sense of the game or this series would conceive any opposing team hanging 55 on any AU defense, perhaps even its weakest since the early eighties. Nothing points to such a half assed guess.
