They still let shit fall right onto the train tracks in India? What does "civilized" really mean anyway?

A newborn baby managed to survive a tumultuous birth that included falling into the toilet and slipping onto train tracks under a moving train, Agence France-Presse reported.

Rinku Debu Ray, 28, was aboard an express train in West Bengal, India on Tuesday when she suddenly went into labor.

Ray went into the bathroom of her train car to deliver the baby, who fell into the toilet, according to the Times of India and Hindustan Times. Before Ray could grab the baby, the baby slipped through a discharge chute and landed on the train tracks below.

The distressed mother immediately jumped off the train to look for her baby, but other passengers believed she was trying to kill herself.

“We got off the train and started looking for my wife,” Bhola Ray, 33, told the Hindustan Times. “After an hour, we found Rinku sitting beside the track with the baby in her lap.”

The train took both mother and baby to the nearest hospital, and doctors said both were in “good health.”

Helluva train?

I was thinking more like "they must take really massive shits in India for the poop chute to be that big".

Then again, I do recall what curried dishes do to me.

The shitters on the trains in Italy emptied directly onto the tracks. Raise the lid to the hopper and you see gravel and cross ties. Barbaric, man!

Speaking of having a baby in the bathroom, has anyone seen the commercials for the show about women who give birth and supposedly had no idea they were pregnant?  How the fuck could a woman go 9 months and not know they were pregnant?

When you are already morbidly obese, you seldom have periods, you already eat like a horse, have no energy, sleep all the time, and you regularly have cramps because your body is so fucked up from being so damn fat.  If you aren't fat, then you are a liar who was totally in denial because you are a freaking idiot.

I actually know a woman - daughter of my former babysitter - who was literally days away from giving birth before her mom - who lived under the same roof - realized she was knocked up because said daughter was so fat.  The daughter was in denial until around 6 months herself.
