The most over-hyped, worthless piece of turtle shit I've ever seen in the UFC. Is he funny? Yes. Is Rampage funny as hell? Yes. As a fighter, I think I could his sorry ass down. Holy crap, I just wasted an hour of my time watching this puke.

What happened? I missed it, did he lose?

He "Fought" Roy Big Country Nelson. Nelson is a fat slob with zero skillz. They spent most of the show hyping Slice and making fun of Big Country's fat ass. The first round had the two pawing at each other for 2-3 minutes (Kimbo Slice looked scared to throw a punch) Nelson finally grabbed him and slammed him then laid on him for for the remainder of the round. Nelson tried to throw about 20 weak ass punches to the top of Kimbo's head but believe it or not, he hit his own slobby belly with at least 17 of them.
Second round, Kimbo threw a few good punches in the first minute and connected. I thought okay, now he's ready. Nope. Nelson slammed him again and the referee literally stopped the fight because Slice refused to fight back. He wasn't even moving. He wasn't even trying. Nelson was trying to hit him but again, his own belly got in the way but hell, the ref stopped it out of sheer boredom. It was pathetic!!!

So who won?
By the way, I believe that no one currently in the UFC could beat Anderson Silva.

Nelson. The ref hollered at Kimbo to do something...anything..or he'd stop it. Finally, he just told nelson to get off him. If it's replayed...save yourself some time. Even Dana White was making fun of Nelson who was gloating over the win.
I agree on Silva, but damn, I wouldn't want to face The Dragon either.

What a fucking waste of space. They have all those promotions with Kimbo Slice too... Whatever, Cock Chestner would have eaten him alive anyway.
Did you see the Silva v. Griffin fight? He, literally, was toying with Forrest Griffin the entire fight. He made him look like such a bitch that he left before the winner was announced. It has to be noted, Griffin was the light heavyweight champion less than a year ago... He beat rampage.

I did not see the fight but I didn't think much of the matchup. Forrest can stand and bang with the best of them as long as he has someone who will trade. You get someone with well rounded skillz (Of which Silva has more than anyone else) and he is overmatched. The Griffin-Bonner fights were such classics because Bonner spent the whole time trying to swing with him.

You have to see that fight.

Watch it, it is pure embarrassment. He was so out matched by Silva that it was like watching Brock Lestner fight a 12 year old girl.
-
He literally, put his hands down, and dodges Griffin's punches fucking matrix style.

Silva is da devil. I watch the UFC now just to hear the commercials and announcer say "Only on pay per view" and "RUA"
-
Kimbo did the same shit last year, in some fight he was beaten in like 10 seconds. I remember it being on TV. I've watched several you tubes of him beating people in their back yards, but he needs to hang this stuff up, cause all they do is make fun of him.
-
Don't be surprised to see Kimbo be put back on the show. And yeah, all the fat guy did was lay across Kimbo and slap him on the top of his head. The only reason why the fight was stopped was because Kimbo couldn't get the fat ass off of him, not because of the hits, because like what the Birdman said, Fatty connected with his own belly most of the time. Marcus Jones, the former 1st round pick by the Buccaneers, outta UNC...is probably out, either due to his knee or conditioning....or both. But, anyway, don't be surprised to see Kimbo back on the show.
This would be the biggest PPV in the history of UFC....probably in any sport, check it. I'm only going to list the two Main Events:
Anderson "The Spider" Silva (jumps weight) vs. Lyoto "The Dragon" Machida - for the Light Heavyweight Championship!!! (this could be Silva's sixth and final fight. Silva has said that he's contractually obligated to fight six more fights, Griffin was fight #3, before he retires.)
and....
Fedor "The Last Emperor" Emelianenko vs. Brock "The Beast" Lesnar - for the Heavyweight Championship!!!

Kimbo's a punk bitch, I think that HB could take him. In fact I just emailed him with Birdman's RL name and address and told him he'd fight him anywhere, anytime, and after he was done beatin that punk ass Birdman would take Kimbo's mom out to dinner and then not call her.

It's on behind the Sonic off I-65 in Cullman.
Then I'm takin his moms to Denny's and makin the bitch buy.

Silva and Machida are training partners, that is a problem that I foresee. Silva will not fight for the light heavyweight belt as long as Machida has it.

Yes, they are training partners and have said that they don't want to fight each other...but, if Silva does decide to jump weight and wants to get the Light Heavyweight Championship belt....he'll have to fight Machida to get it, because Machida will be holding that belt for a while.

As this has been a topic and because I recently learned that both my brother and nephew are participating in this sport, I watched a couple of these videos.
It is, in my personal opinion, the dumbest thing I have ever seen. I am glad I had not wasted a moment of my life watching it before, and I will not waste another second of my life watching it beyond now.
I simply don't understand the allure. Boxing I get. This? Ugh. No thanks.

He's a thread hijacker.
I think you have to have followed the sport a little bit to truly understand what it's about. If you come in and decide to watch the UFC reality show and watch one of the fights to see what it's about, you probably won't get anything close to a true picture of the sport. Some of those fights are brutally bad.
It's not just the fight, but it's also the hype and smack talk leading up to it. The shows documenting the training leading up to the fight and the training the Ultimate Fighters go through on the show. You start seeing that when these guys make it to the big stage and fight on the Pay-Per-Views, they are so evenly matched, it's ridiculous. But, you also see that it's the styles of the fighters that makes the difference in most fights. One guy can be incredible in his stand-up with his fists and feet, while his opponent wants nothing more than to take him down and ground/pound him to submission. Watching George St. Pierre throw elbows from a full mount is fucking beautiful. Does a fighter have jujitsu (sp?) skillz and the ability to choke someone out with their legs? Does a fighter have ALL of these skillz..like Anderson Silva?

Enjoy.

So, what you're saying is... You don't get it.
Some people might not get the presentation...meh...whatever.... However, you can't deny that these guys are INCREDIBLY disciplined and very talented with what they do. It's truly a world sport, and governed tightly. I think it's fun as hell to watch, and ten times more more engaging than boxing "right now". Boxing hasn't had a bad ass fun character, or united title belt to be won in years. Every fight is a championship fight of some sort. It's always some fucker that doesn't speak english, or will hug you to death in the ring.
THAT.... I have no interest in.

For boxing to be viable, it HAS to have a heavyweight champion who:
1. Is either hated or worshiped by the fans. You have to have the lovable character or the controversial Ali's and Tysons of the world. A fighter who is recognizable and marketable around the world.
2. Holds most of the titles. A unified chanpion. Boxing really started hurting itself when it allowed 9 different belts to exist. The WBC, WBO, IBF, ABC, NBC, HBO...whatever.
With all the characters there have been in boxing, the bottom line is the heavyweight division is what drives it and makes people watch.

The Heavyweight division has no American fighter that is worth a shit right now. All the good ones are Russian and they are all business. You get no good sound bites from them.
The only characters (for a lack of better words) in boxing right now are Bernard Hopkins and Floyd Mayweather Jr. There are a few others, but none with a mouth like those two.
For boxing to get back into the mainstream, it needs a good stable of American Heavyweights that people can get behind. The only thing saving boxing right now is the all the hardcore fans that have HBO, Showtime, still watch Friday Night Fights and buy all the PPV's (I fall in this category). There are some great fighters out there, none of them happen to be a heavyweight right now. The only good ones at Heavyweight are Russian and most prefer to fight across the pond. Right now the Klitchko Brothers are dominating the heavyweight division and hold all the important belts other than the WBA. They have already stated they will not fight each other so the chances of unifying the titles are slim to none.
