Bobbled a punt & BSU recovers @ the Tigers 11. Nice 3 & out for the defense to start the game though.
-
Touchdown Cardinals. 7-0.
-
Stuffed in Auburn territory on 4th down... whoops.
-
Touchdown Tigers! Todd to Trott. Tie game.
2 turnovers for the defense.
-
What a fucking hit by Bates!
-
Now that Kodi Burns is hurt and out for the game I hope someone shoots him twice.
-
Touchdown Tigers! Zachary for 47 yards. Todd is 8 for 8 passing.
14-7 Tigers.
-
Safety! Josh Bynes! 16-7 Tigers.
-
Damn fine 63 yard run by McCaleb
-
Touchdown Tigers! McCaleb in from the 1.
Tigers up 23-7.
-
8:37 to go in the 2nd & Todd misses his first pass of the game. 8 of 9 so far.
-
Beautiful 63 yard pass from Todd to Zachary for another Tiger touchdown.
30-7 Tigers.
-
There was no point in even playing this game. Damn.

How North Texas actually beat Ball State is beyond me.
-
Touchdown! Todd to Adams. 40-10 good guys.
It's time to see what Caudle can do.
-
Touchdown Tigers! Todd to Fannin for the score. 5 passing TD's for Todd tonight, & 9 in the last 2 games. He's the 1st Tiger QB with back to back 4 TD games passing.
47-17 Auburn.
-
17 points to Ball State? Are you guys playing defense?
-
52 yard TD run by Neil Caudle. 54-27 Tigers.
-
Ballgame. Tigers win 54-30.
-
The td by Caudle was freakin awesome! Defense doesn't look good and special teams suck. I hope we can stop Hardesty and Brown next week.

Special teams blow.
Defense is questionable at best. But the 30 points looks worse than the 260 yards we gave up. They only had 3.8 yards per pass and 3.3 yards per rush. Those aren't horrible numbers for a defense.

Total agreement. Despite what I desperately want to see...our D blows. They're just not good. There's no spin. No sugarcoat. They blow. It's frustrating because they have talent. They truly have guys who can make plays but they just don't. Amazing, because I was worried whether or not we would score points this year but that ain't the problem. Stopping anyone is.

If I'm the OC of our opponents, I'm calling quick screens to the WRs and short 5 to 10 yard outs all game long. It just seemed to me like we really weren't "in to" the game. Even on the long passes and the long runs, it just seemed like we were just going through the motions. Would playing at home for the fourth straight game, kinda take the homefield advantage out of it?

The whole day was just flat yesterday. I wasn't at TigerWalk, but it was flat all day. Everything from the drab and wet weather, to wet conditions and wearing rain gear. The corner gathering of the band down in front of the stadium was embarassing. Usually a good place to get hyped up, the cheerleaders, band, people ALLL seemed to be just going through the motions. Then the first ten minutes... Just more of the same...
I'm not reading too much into this game. I'm not necessarily pleased, but there just wasn't ANY energy or excitement in any phase of the total package last night. Except for a collection of big plays, but that's going to have to work vs. someone better than Ball State before I start bragging about it.
Shoot, even Nova (the golden eagle) took a "let's just get this shit overwith" route to his mid-field snack last night.
At least we walked out with a win.. We're 4-0 and no doubt they'll be hyped up to play the Cheetos from Tennesse next week.

Agreed on all points. Hell, I didn't even really care. I watched the game on my computer and was late to start watching at that. The defense doesn't concern me yet. Not yet. Special teams...yes. Defense...not yet.

IMO, the special teams, most notable the Kickoff Coverage, is failing because of the somewhat lack of talent or lack of experience that's able to play (mostly first year starters and walk ons).
