Title: Most Likely Upsets this week
Post by: AUTailgatingRules on September 22, 2009, 04:40:34 PM
There are a number of possibilities for an upset this week.  Who do you think it will be?  Pick your top 3 from the above list.

Is Houston favored?  If not, I would think Houston over TT would be an upset... not the other way around.

Houston is ranked 17th and playing at home.  I don't know the line, but I imagine they are favored by at least 4.

I put them on there because they are ranked #17 and playing an unranked team.  if they are not favored, then the polls really are more meaningless than I thought

Im taken dem pigs over the pachyderms. Those top spots in the polls are where the heads have been rolling so Im staying with it. The "spread" gets the crimson tahd again.

Will these count in the Crown battle?  I don't need to lose any more points.

I took Carolina, Tech and Stanford.  Washington could be on that high and be over confident, doubtful, but it could be.  Is this one of the games that Nutt chokes away that he shouldn't?  Tech, well, b/c I haven't been too impressed with NC this year either and Tech has had a little extra time to correct things and prepare.

Not that it will happen, but to me those are the most likely.

I took the Cocks, Hogs and Trees (sounds like an Arkansas post-game party)

I am not sure UDUb is all that just because they hung with LSU and beat USC - USC pisses one away EVERY FREAKING YEAR to an inferior team and LSU is not exactly lighting it up so far.  So I pick the Fighting Trees to bring everyone back to reality and get their one "upset" win of the year.

Spurrier still has my vote.  He is crazy like a fox.  Nutt is just fucking crayzee...

And I am ready to see bammer get humbled.  Losing to the Hawgs would be funny as hell.  If Mallett gets into a groove... fun fun fun.

I honestly don't think it will happen, but I took South Caroliney over Cold Piss.  It's way past time for Spurrier to show the old magic and pull a big upset.  No other reason.

I think Clemson takes down the Toads.

Cocks, Sun Devils and the Cardinals.

Spurrier has had a mind fuck over Nutt for years. As much as I'd like to see Nutt lose, I'm hoping one of us gets his cherry this year. And sloppy seconds, too.

I'm going with the 3 B's; Bee's, Beavers, and Bulldogs.

Stanford, Georgia Tech, South Carolina

I think people have forgotten about Stanford.  They're a team on the rise, and if Washington doesn't bring their USC-A-Game, they're going to get beat.

Anyone else notice how mediocre North Carolina has been?  12-10 to UConn?

The Nutt gets busted against Spurrier.

Georgia Tech is favored by 2.5 so that really wouldn't be an upset.

What's the Ole Miss line?  3 1/2 or has it moved up?

Houston is only favored by one and a lot of places say even that is unlikely.

I want the Cougs to win, but I still don't see it as an upset if TT wins except that Houston is ranked.  To me, an upset should not be expected - and I would not be surprised if TT wins.

Couldn't have said it better.  Two teams that air it out.  Whoever comes out on top will not be an upset.

Well, you're gonna be sicker on Sunday morning.  The Beavers may have the best chance of those three, but slim is leaving town as we speak on them even.

So say the pundits. Nary a ball has been teed off yet.
Who gave Washington a chance against USC last week? This is why I love college football.

Don't get me wrong...I hope your piggies beat the gumps by 28 or more, and then a giant sinkhole swallows up their crappy ass stadium (except for the visiting fans section of course).  I just don't see it happening.

Me neither. I betted Bammer in the whiskey bottle chase. I'd love to see it happen, but think not. This year. But, who knows? That's why they play the games. A win by us against Bama and an Ole Miss loss to USCE would throw the west in turmoil. Yall could very well be the benefactors of such a scenario.

Yep, Spurrier pulled thru. I guess the upset alert next weekend will be Ole Piss over bama.

bama will win but I don't think they cover the spread, take the piggies and the points.

Don't forget we have a lot of JB Hunt trucks.

We also have about 80,000 motorcycles and 400,000+ people in Fayetteville this week for Bikes, Blues & BBQ.  Needless to say, traffic is a little congested around town.

How crazy would it be if Arkansas beats SPuat, Kentucky beats UF (Tebow is questionable with the Swine Flu, along with a few other starters), MSU beats LSU, USF beats FSU, Oregon beats Cal., GT beats UNC & Indiana beats Michigan?  Talk about a crazy fuckin' weekend and it all started with Old Mrs. getting punked by South Cacalacky.
