To each his own... If you knew Tool's music, you would respect it. For example: If you are familiar with the Fibonacci Sequence, which describes a numerical formula for making a spiral, a song called "Lateralus" has each note pattern set as the same as the sequence. Also, the song urges the listener to lose their sense of control, spiraling out, to embrace life freely. A true out of body experience. There is no sadness in this, only happiness. Take your drug references elsewhere, these guys are very vocal on their position against them.

I've heard Tool's stuff and yes, I respect them, and was liking that song too. I guess the "Entrance Music" topic threw me. Can't see teh Tools on the big screen at JHS.

The song is too long to play it as a whole.. Just to the first singing of the chorus would suffice... I guess I stand alone, but I would be pumped more than a man on viagra.

Adema had some good stuff. The new singer sucks balls something major.

Boartitz, Tool has not peaked. Lateralus was better than Aenema, I thought. And you make it sound like him spending time with A Perfect Circle is a bad thing. A Perfect Circle was my first true love.

I like Maynard in all things. I just like Undertow and Aenema better. They lost some grit from Lateralus on, I think. And that coincided with him spending more time with the Circle projects. He got more avant garde and turned away from his metallic roots.
Just my view. I have all of his music from both bands. I'm usually one of the oldest folks in the crowd when I see them live.
