Title: From July...
Post by: Kaos on September 14, 2009, 11:12:14 AM
Found this when I was looking for the Tuberville Michelin Man picture.  What's funny to me is how he correctly predicts the debates that flare up when AU is 2-0 out of the gate and some are already ready to declare AU "back" and Chizik an unqualified success.

He also gets a lot wrong, including the emergence of McCalebb, the selection of a starter and the early offensive success.  Still, it's an amusing read to go back and see where the thinking was two months ago.

Although entertaining and a nice way of passing the time in summer, predictions are of no use and I try to ignore them for the most part. At least as far as predicting an entire season before 1 friggin game is played. This proves it.

He got the starter wrong and he got the offensive progress wrong, but he did put AU at 8-4, which is just about where I said we'd end up way back in January.

Looks like I will have that part of it pegged if things continue to progress as they have.

I'll take it......
