I'm there. Here. I'll watch our next opp GA on SEC Digital later.
Curious as to what Gus is able to do here. Looks good so far.

Just so you know, I believe in Gus. That was the often stated comment when he was at Arkansas.
We had a backfield that contained 2 1st round draft choices, Peyton Hillis(Denver Broncos) and the Gatoraid Player of the Year as a freshman QB. Gus didn't get a chance here. What could have been.

SO... do we go for two to break fifty and practice a 2 pt conv in real time, or will we just score again before the end???

Also...

DO you think it pisses Todd off that he does all the work and then Kodi is getting the TD glory???

Kodi may wind up as yall's QB before the season is over. Todd is not impressive. An SEC team with a good secondary could pick yall apart.
Gus may adjust to yall being more of a run team this year. Yall have the players for that. He has the plays for that.

Caudle has a strong arm
Gus is more about being versatile. His QB needs to be able to do a bunch of things versus being great at one aspect of the game.
That's why Todd is starting now. He's not a specialist at anything, but he is a Jack of all trades, master of none. That will work for a start.
If Gus stays and is allowed to run his scheme, yall will get better players for that scheme.
I want to see it run on this level. It is an exciting offense.

Last week it was just one game against no opposition. Now it's just two games against no opposition, albeit SEC no opposition.
What next? Well, it's just 3 games against no opposition?
HEHE.

Hilarious! A win that that would leave anyone satisfied!

I saw that. The gameday crew are going to have to concentrate solely on fluffing Tebow.

Boar, they'll be the usual 2 or 3 here that will continue to piss and moan regardless of the success. The improvement this staff has made for us has to be commended, even by the staunchest critics. I eagerly await tomorrows dose of crow eating.

On Ben Tate?

Chizik was asked after the game why Tate didn't play in the first quarter. The question surprised him I think and he acted -- to me -- like he had not been aware of it.

I asked him directly as be left. His reply? "Sometimes we do what we do."

He either didn't know Tate didn't play or he kept the reason to himself.

I also asked Ben. He said he just does what he's asked to do and trusts the coaching staff to put the team in the best situation.

I did notice that coming out after halftime they had him on the stationary bike. He was the only one.

How many yards above 100 did he gain?

Touchdowns?

Official stat sheet says 157 yards and one score.

FWIW, I didn't ask Chizik first. Other guys in the press room thought it might have been discliplinary and asked.

There were questions in the other gameday thread about Tate not being in.

From what I could tell from asking the only two people who really know is that there really wasn't any particular reason -- at least not one that will ever be told. I didn't get the sense from Ben that it was anything other than the plays for the situations.

I wasn't really pointing at you at the contrarian, because I asked as well.

In the end, though, McCalebb got his and Tate got his, and the order in which the coaches choose to use them is not a concern of mine as long as they keep pumping out 100+ yard games...each...in consecutive weeks.
