ATLANTA -- Rent-to-own business Aaron's Inc. has signed a three-year marketing agreement with the University of Alabama, according to Furniture Today.

The deal will cover several Crimson Tide teams.

The report says:

Aaron's logo will be prominently displayed over both tunnels at the football stadium and will be visible to fans at the game and watching on TV, the company said. Financial terms of the arrangement were not disclosed.

"Aaron's is proud to partner with the University of Alabama, which has one of the top college football programs of all time," said Robin Loudermilk, the Atlanta-based company's president and CEO. "The football team is ranked No. 5 in preseason rankings and we are ecstatic to display our name on their field . . ."

Aaron's has existing college partnerships with Georgia Tech and the University of Texas, and also partners with NASCAR and has signage and advertising at other sporting events and venues in the United States and Canada.

Hilarious and appropriate.

Now, if only they could get some payday loan joint to co-sponsor (along with Fleetwood mobile homes), they'd have their entire fan base covered.

You've gotta market to the right fanbase.  This, my friends, is capitalism in its finest form.
