First half was rough. Stupid penalties. Missed assignments. But with second half adjustments the game was never in doubt. Proud of the guys. Good start. War Eagle.

Amen. I was concerned during the first half, especially with the D play. I was beginning to think it was gonna be a long night. Thankfully I was pleasantly surprised with the second half. Even if it was La Tech AU looked good. One non-significant thing I liked was seeing a head coach with a little fire for a change. WDE! :clap:

He laid into the ref, because it was an uncatchable ball (10 feet over his head).

I was pissed in the 1st half. Our D was looking undisciplined and I too thought it was going to be a long night. 2nd half looked a whole lot better and I was pretty satisfied by the end of the game.

I saw the game replayed tonight. Unbelievably bad call. As bad as I've seen in a long time. No, it had no effect on theoutcome but just the call itself was something to behold.

Pretend you are fishing with a heavily weighted line, and you are trying to cast your line into some bush on the other side of the river. It may take a while, but if you sling it in there enough times, you'll eventually get that catfish to bite.
Of course, you have to watch out for the snappers. If you aren't careful, they'll empty out your tackle box.

I have held off until Wednesday to post on here. I won't post again until next Wednesday. During the season it will be better for you (and me) if I don't post but one day a week.
I saw nothing that gave me anymore hope for the future of the Auburn program Saturday than I did the day chizik was hired. In the first half I saw a team that was out coached by Dooley and company and in the second half I saw the pounding that superior talent is supposed to produce. How may touchdowns did the great new and improved offense have in the first half? In games where our talent is not going to be light years ahead of our opponents its going to come down to coaching except for maybe 2 games on our schedule I don't see where we have superior talent.
The coaching will cost us many games this year and so it will continue until our leaders stand up and lead.
Is the beginning of the season the beginning of the end for our coaches so we can begin a legitimate return to glory?
