Serious question:
Are Julio and Ingram cleared to play this weekend? I wasn't sure if Saban would hold them out due to questions about their eligiblity re: the fishing trip.
Not meant to flame, just curious.

According to CNS today, their status has not changed. I don't see him holding them out, really. I think the fishing trip is a non-issue and Alabama is simply going overkill on it by running it by the NCAA. As of now they are going to play. The NCAA never asked us to investigate anything, answer to anything, etc. Alabama is simply trying to show that they are clean.
-
They'll play.

He knew that. His head is so far up Kaos' ass, he doesn't miss a thing.

Hell, if choking down and sucker punching a girl won't get a guy suspended, a silly little thing like an illegal fishing trip can't stand in the way of PT.
Place your bet with confidence.

That would explain the occasional constipation.

When the stories were coming out about them being in Athens to get their itineraries from the travel agency, word on the skreets was that it was being paid for by Mr. Anderson, it wasn't for a fishing trip...think Bigger. And there's more stuff coming out, but I'm not sure how true they are, so I'm not going to let those "fly"....just yet.

I see you're starting to learn......
Keep letting those rumors regarding Mr. Anderson fly. I'm all for it, actually.

There's a hint in your post. It's part of a families last name in a very popular movie, so popular that they made numerous sequels.
Also, here's another rumor, someone has a photograph of Mr. Anderson at SPuat's A-Day game last year.

LOL....no Delorean, but you're definitely on the right track. Supposedly, there's more to the story, than just the fishing and the Cruise trips. It involves another player and it has something to do with electronics and horsepower...again, bammers, this is just some of the rumors that are coming out, and it isn't coming from the Auburn side.

Upshaw and the laptop? Yeah, that actually did come from the Auburn side. Hey, we're still waiting on these pictures. Oh, and the Gadsden LOI while you're at it.....
-
There will be a player suspended to start the season but it won't be because of horsepower, although I KNEW prowler would try to tie that into the rumor when it finally came out.
I have heard conflicting stories on the reason for suspension, one involving electronics and one involving grades. Either way, the prowler is finally getting a little closer with his prowling.
FWIW, I heard this player would be suspended almost a month ago. You're slipping prowler.

Face planting his girlfriend won't get him suspended...what did he do, knock over a Gateway retail store?

Here ya go rws:
TUSCALOOSA | University of Alabama officials, who received a favorable ruling on the status of football players Julio Jones and Mark Ingram on Wednesday night, continue to await NCAA ruling on a third player, sophomore linebacker Jerrell Harris.
Harris also had contact with Athens resident Curtis Anderson -- who provided a fishing trip and other impermissible benefits to Jones and Ingram, resulting in them being ruled ineligible until the NCAA rendered a decision on the matter -- and may also have received an extra benefit, according to a source familiar with the case.
UA discovered Harris’ involvement with Anderson while investigating Jones’ and Ingram’s contacts with Anderson. UA declared Jones and Ingram ineligible and appealed for their reinstatement, which was granted Wednesday night. The NCAA found Jones and Ingram had “received impermissible food, lodging, transportation and entertainment from (Anderson).”
Jones and Ingram repayed the value of the impermissible benefits to charity.
Deborah M. Lane, assistant to the president and assistant vice president for university relations, released a statement last month on UA’s investigation into Anderson’s contact with UA student-athletes:
“The University is aware of Mr. Anderson, and has taken appropriate steps,” the statement said. “Mr. Anderson is not affiliated with UA. He is not a UA booster, fan or alumnus, and is not a UA season ticket holder. In fact, Mr. Anderson told us that all of his family are fans of another SEC school.”
It is unknown why Harris’ situation has not been resolved. NCAA by-laws, however, require student-athletes to be forthcoming in any eligibility investigation. No timetable is known for a ruling on Harris’ eligibility, which could preclude his participation in Saturday’s season opener against Virginia Tech.
Harris, from Gadsden, is listed as a second-string weakside linebacker on the UA depth chart. He played in 10 games last season and made three tackles.
A source close to the situation said Harris had hoped to be cleared to play when Jones and Ingram received clearance, but now Harris is not clear on when he might be reinstated.
Another source told The Tuscaloosa News that true freshman Nico Johnson would likely step into the backup role at the weakside position behind Dont’a Hightower for Saturday’s game against Virginia Tech if Harris is not cleared. Johnson was listed with the middle linebackers when the team’s official depth chart was released on Monday.
So, I guess this is how the REC is working now...do business through an uninvolved party. BTW, there are some bammer supporters that work at Eagle Wholesale.
-
The NCAA has no teeth. Where did Hoolio and Ingram get the money to pay back the fishing trips?

Such as? I know Anderson's business partner is an Auburn donor. He even has his name on an AU page as a donor, he graduated from AU in the 70's. So, whats the names of these "bammer supporters"? FWIW, I think Harris is sitting out moreso for not being completely honest about his role in it, and not being forthcoming with information. I think the NCAA has determined that Anderson is in no way, shape, or form connected to Alabama. Given our past, if they had even the SMALLEST thought that boosters or anything even closely resembling an Alabama supporter were involved in this, do you REALLY think the NCAA would clear Ingram and Jones to play? I think not.
-

Fishing = entertainment, dumbass.

Its not like Julio didn't work before he was in college. He worked at Zeke's for a long time before he graduated, and he also worked for his cousin's landscaping company for some time. They've known for months now that they were more than likely going to have to some off some cash. I would think in a matter of 4 months, you could manage to scrape up a couple hundred bucks from your family alone.

Is Zeke's where you got your first taste of Julio's man juice?

According to an article in the MPR today, Curtis Anderson has lawyered up, according to him anyways. Now, Prowler, you claimed a while back that Operation Reddog was real. How far did it go? Things ae flying that this was part of it, and its sort of believable. Anderson has two sons that have gone to AU, his business partner is a big AU booster, and according to UA's investigation (which the NCAA found to be fact), he is not in anyway connected to UA and is not even a UA fan. He and his family are fans of "another SEC school". Prowler, given all of that, and now that he has lawyered up, are you still saying that Anderson is a UA booster as you did before? I'm not all into the conspiracy theories, but for a guy with so many AU connections, he sure doesn't want anybody digging too deep.

Shut the fuck up.
The guy is not an Auburn fan. If so, he's the worst rogue booster in NCAA history. Why would an Auburn booster give bammer players that are already signed with uat free shit?
And why are you assuming that the "other SEC school" he's allegedly a fan of is Auburn? He lives in Athens...

Chizad, how close is Notasulga to Auburn? Thats where Anderson's company was originally incorporated at and where he lived before moving the company, etc, to Athens.
And to answer your question, I would think given our past history with boosters, etc, perhaps they thought the NCAA would just bite on this and not really look too far into it. No clue. Why would an Alabama booster give them free shit a year after they have signed? "Hey guys, sign with Alabama, and a year later we'll take you fishing."

So you think your rogue boosters only pay players to coerce them to sign for bammer. Once they're there, they're on their own...

Another interesting note: apparently an NCAA ruling says that any amount under $100 can be repaid.
Anything over $100 is a violation that cannot be "repayed". Usually it is handled with a game or two suspension or worse.
So the total value of this deep sea fishing trip was under $50 apiece?
:bs:

Apparently the NCAA sees more to it. Don't try to tell me that the NCAA is helping us sweep something under the rug. Apparently they are pretty satisfied that this guy is in no way, shape, or form tied to UA. If they had the smallest thought of it, especially given our past, do you think Julio and Ingram would be playing this weekend? Also, something else interesting, is Anderson's business partner in Eagle Wholesale is also the incorporator of Eagle Sales Group LLC in Opelika. He also used to own Alabama Precast & Pipe Supply in Opelika as well. Seeing alot of AU connection to Anderson here.....
Oh, and just so you know Chizad, you can shut the fuck up now.....but hey, I'm sure Anderson's attorney is lying or something. Yeah, Alabama paid him to say this.

Plunk said Anderson's wife is an Auburn fan and they have a son who attends Auburn. Anderson's company is named Eagle Wholesale Supply, but Plunk said that name is taken from the Athens High Golden Eagles.
Prowler, you can shut the fuck up too.

So his wife's an Auburn fan...and that means...?
Do you not know any Bama fan to marry an Auburn fan in the history of the universe? There's a few on this very board.
Your little snippet also disproves you entire premise of the earlier part of the same post.
By the way, we're the Auburn Tigers. We're not the Alabama Eagles any more than the Auburn Wars.

Wife's an AU fan.....son is enrolled in AU....his whole family are all AU fans....business partner is an AU donor.....manager of his business is an AU grad class of 1974.......business was originally incorporated just outside of Auburn......
Yeah, definitely an Alabama booster and/or fan.
Like I said, I would think the NCAA is looking a little more into this; and maybe not so much at Alabama. The guy is clearly in no way, shape, or form connected to Alabama. The NCAA is apparently satisfied of this. There is a SHITLOAD of evidence that has him connected in alot of ways to AU. Again, you cannot reasonably believe that given Alabama's past, that the NCAA would in any way clear Ingram and Julio if there were the slightest chance this guy was somehow connected to Alabama. Add in that Anderson has now lawyered up, and that makes shit very interesting. The fact that his family is full of AU fans and the fact that his son goes to AU sure does shoot your theory that there is no way he is an AU fan right out of the water......
Also, something about Anderson's business partner William Lewis.....he also owns Alabama PreCast & Pipe Supply. Guess what company is on AU's page of corporate donors? https://develop.auburn.edu/recognition/honor-org.html#_a

Jesus, you act like fandom is akin to race.
My father in law is a member of the REC and a big time donor to Bama. 2 of his three kids went to Auburn, even though they grew up huge Alabama fans (only one of them converted fully to Auburn). I just happened to marry the only kid of his that went to Alabama.
His business partner is an Auburn grad. His wife was an Auburn fan when they got married, but finally converted to Bama after so many years of marriage.
What you have provided is nothing more than circumstantial evidence.
Side question - so what's the deal with Jerrell Harris? Should I expect to see him playing on Saturday?
-

Jerrell Harris will be suspended at least half the season, if not the whole season. And thats not because the NCAA said he can't play for that long, thats because he originally was not truthful about what actually happened, as far as I know.
Thats a nice story and all, and thats fine. I agree that shit can happen and things can fall very weird, but there is alot of AU connection here. When you couple that with everything going around about AU fans hiring PIs and stuff to investigate UA recruits, Operation Reddog, etc, and its interesting.
-Wife is an AU fan
-Most of his family are AU fans
-Has a son that is currently attending AU
-Business partner is an AU donor
-Business partner owns companies in Opelika
-Business partner owns companies that donate to AU
-One of the business partner's kids received a BS from AU
-Manager of Eagle Wholesale went to school at AU with the business partner
-Eagle Wholesale was originally incorporated just outside of Auburn
-Anderson has now retained an attorney
Like I said before, I'm normally not into the conspiracy theories. But when AU fans are going message boards saying there is an organized effort to harm Alabama, what do you expect us to think when we see all of these connections to AU? Anderson certainly has no connection to Alabama. Again, I think if the NCAA thought otherwise, Julio and Ingram wouldn't be playing this weekend. Do you think we can agree on that much?
Does all of those circumstances above point to a definite AU involvement. No, not really. As you suggest, it could be alot of coincidences. Maybe its not. But I think the NCAA is satisfied that he has no Alabama connections. If the tables were turned and this guy had all of these connections, but hey were to Alabama, you would tell me I was insane to think he wasn't somehow connected to Alabama, and you know it. A huge string of coincidences would not exist.
-
Hey rws, show me were I stated that Curtis Anderson was a bammer booster. Do that, then you can continue trying to call me out. Eventhough every time that you do, I make you look dumber each and every time. So by all means, keep trying.
Word on the skreets is that Curtis Anderson actually went to school at SPuat, but he dropped out during his Sophmore year.
Also, another one of his business partners is Mr. Turner Yarbrough. SPuat graduate, Majored in Finance & Banking. He's the Sales Manager at Eagle Wholesale. Think he would have any interest? Maybe so, maybe not.
Another thing, the NCAA didn't investigate anything, they took SPuat's investigation and if anything else pops up the matter has been dealt with. Also, the violation was just about the fishing trip with JJ and MI, not the rumor that CA paid for a flight to Houston and a Cruise out of Galveston for JJ and MI. The Cruise is rumored to have been given the okay by SPuat through the newly fired AD Secretary.
The NCAA's SAR (Student-Athlete Reinstatment) Division reinstated JJ and MI, not the Enforcement Division...the ED is the one that gathers information for rules violations.
What is really sad is that the bammes are all trying to say that Curtis Anderson is an Auburn fan that has tried to get Alabama in trouble through a whispering campaign. From what I understand Curtis Anderson is not a football fan and the two players would be something he could show off, “just like he would show off a new bird dog.”
Yes there are Auburn fans in his family…….but from what I understand there are also (about) 60 current...living members of the family that are bammer grads.
There are some nieces and nephews currently at SPuat that are being harassed……..this is not smart. If they make Curtis Anderson and his family mad there (could be) more truth that could come out that Alabama would probably not like.
Also, the threats that Curtis Anderson & his family have received is somewhat similar to what John Thrower faced.

Ok....
I said that he's a bammer fan and that by NCAA laws fans, can be considered as a booster, because of the wording that they use.
So, while you're certainly implying that he is, you aren't actually saying it. Its the typical Prowler-speak that we hear from you so often, that way you can come back and say "I DIDN'T SAY THAT BLAH BLAH BLAH". You basically always dance around it, that way you can bullshit your way out of it later.

See...I didn't say that, blah blah blah. I stated that he could be considered as a booster by the NCAA rules on boosters, because of their wording. I never said that he was a booster. If I would've said that, I would've stated that Curtis Anderson is a bammer booster. "while you're certainly implying that he is, you aren't actually saying it".....LMAO, look everyone, a bammer trying to understand things, saying that I said it...then coming back saying that I didn't "Actually" say it. rws, keep trying
