Last I checked, I haven't claimed dominance over AU the past decade. The table is starting to slant back our way some, but we have in no way, shape, or form dominated AU over the past decade. You are simply imagining me saying otherwise.
Yes, ULM did beat us. They were a shitty team. They still are. There is no way in hell they should have beaten us, but they did. Just because they beat us doesn't make them great. We simply lost to a shitty team. Probably the same case with us losing to them in '97 and '99. We sucked total ass in '97...it was our worst team in 40 years (sound familiar?). Still, we should have won. In '99 we shouldn't have lost to La Tech either. But, we did. We also went on to beat AU, UF, and win an SECCG. So, who the fuck knows. Wait, we lost to La Tech but then beat AU? You guys got beat by a team that lost to La Tech? Ewwwww! See, nobody gives a fuck about that either.

As you guys so gloriously remind us Alabama fans, one year out of 8 a dynasty does not make. UGA had a shitload of returning starters and first round NFL talent at QB and RB for '08. How did that turn out for them? MSU had an 8 win season after being a perennial bottom feeder, then went right back to a 4-win season in '08. We have probably close to 13 returning starters at Alabama, 8 of them being on defense. Are you penciling us in for the MNC game? Didn't think so. It isn't always inaccurate either.

Actually, the 8-3 and 9-2 seasons they had when they beat us are better than their 8-4 season in '08. And, for that matter, you don't know what their record will be at the end of '09. So, you don't know what team is weaker. However, I will agree with you that they shouldn't have beaten us either time. Again, just because they had a good season in '08 and they are returning alot of starters doesn't mean they will destroy all in '09. I think all you are aiming for is to build them up to be better than they really are. That way, if AU loses, well then you've been saying all this time they're unstoppable. If AU wins, then its a huge win and shows you guys got something going this season.
For the record, I haven't really seen on any boards where our fans are really making fun of you guys for playing La Tech in your opener. I just see some of them laughing at how real the chance is that you guys might lose to them.
