Possibly but since it is only in a passive mode and not participatory there is little to worry about.

They're probably going to grab our players' asses and jocks during the game to try and get inside their heads......or pants. Not really sure what to make of it.

It's extreme, but it just might work.

I'm going to be very disappointed in you guys if there aren't at least 10 posters in the stands with these pics on them.

Our fans are pretty good at coming up with stupid shit to have in the stands, so I'm sure we can manage to do something with it.

I don't think the houndstooth hats are particularly embarassing, but the tattoos and toilet paper, etc is. I really love Alabama football, but I'll be damned if you ever catch me with an Alabama football tattoo. I got one of those nice coach's polos for Christmas and still haven't worn it. I have a few Alabama hats I wear sometimes. I'm just not all about being WT and putting shit all over my car and wearing something Alabama every day of my life.

That sucks.  Now, when we pound the Hokies, it'll only be because their top runningback is out.

Well damn, that sucks for him. Thats going to make things a little less interesting. The only hope they had was their running game, and there wasn't much to be hopeful for there with our run defense to begin with. Tyrod's career best passing yardage in a game is like 137 yards or something, and that was against Virginia I think.

Less interesting?  Shit, you do realize VT fans are probably not too worried about your attack now that the best part of your line, including flippy nips Smith, are gone...along with your senior QB.

None of the do. I had a bammer friend call me last night and was talking about "they are already making excuses for when we stomp that ass, blah, blah, blah".  It's one thing to be confident in the team you are rooting for but the arrogance is too much sometimes.

From things that have been coming out of the spring/summer/fall camps, we MIGHT have gotten an upgrade at QB. I do feel good that our defense is the one our offense has had to work against all of this offseason. I don't think our offense will be as inept as some think, but I don't think its going to be a world beater either. Defense should be ridiculous.

Being arrogant is when you have no reason to be so cocky. In this case it is just being confident.

0-2 in your last two games with a severe beatdown by Utah should not instill confidence in any fanbase.

Cecil Hurt disagrees.

I believe on the Finebaum show, he said that if you weren't aware of Bama's football team, you would think AJ McCarron was the best QB on the practice field.  And he didn't insinuate that was a good thing.

If so, it would be contrary to what everybody saw at A-Day, contrary to him coming in 2nd at the Manning Passing Academy (beating out QBs such as Sam Bradford, Colt McCoy, etc), contrary to nearly any media report coming out of camp, contrary to alot of reporters, etc. I'm not saying the guy is all-world or anything, but there has been ALOT coming out that he's pretty damn good in his own right. I know that beating out some good QBs at the MPA doesn't mean he's going to be a Heisman candidate or anything, but it doesn't give me any reason to think he's the most horrible QB either. Our own OC has said that having McElroy at QB is allowing him to open more of the playbook this coming season and do some things they couldn't do with JPW. And thats in media articles too. Again, not saying the kid is going to be a world beater. I'm curious as to exactly what is going to happen myself, but I have a good feeling about it.

In a July 19th article, Hurt said the following:
Quote
Based on personal observation, I think he will do well. His arm is good. I think that the decision-making that had to be coached into Wilson over the past two years comes more naturally for McElroy.
Now, unless something has DRASTICALLY changed in the past month......maybe he has Alzheimers. Maybe you misunderstood the context of what was being said, or what was being said altogether. Maybe Cecil Hurt doesn't know what he's talking about. I don't know. But even he said, just a few weeks ago, that McElroy was decent at the very least. Now, behind McElroy, we're totally fucked. I sung Star Jackson's praises when we got his LOI, but it seems I was wrong and he is a bust. McCarron may be the #2 QB this season. And THAT, is scary. Not because I think McCarron sucks, but he's really not ready to play in the SEC right now.

I don't care how good the kid is, there are growing pains with a new young qb.  There is too much that goes into it besides arm strength.  You better hope they can find a running game to carry the kid a while.

I always love it when opposing fans talk not about winning or losing, but about how bad a beatdown they are going to bring.  You can only hope the opposing players are thinking the same thing.  Nothing better than seeing the other team come out flat thinking it's going to be a cakewalk, then spending the whole game just trying to get something going.
