in Auburn, and you will see a melt down of epic proportions.
This was posted over on Tidesports by a very trusted poster (Superman). Anybody know what he may be talking about? I don't think Grant committing to Alabama would cause any melt down whatsoever. What else could it be?

There won't be any gnashing of the teeth over losing Corey Grant, because most are expecting Corey to put on the houndstooth hat. What else could it be, another commitment? LaDarius Owens would cause some gnashing of the teeth.

If au urn doesn't get Grant...and that is still an if...there will not be any melt down, or even gnashing of teeth. Auburn fans have had their eyes on the top 3 RB's in the nation, so to say there would be a meltdown if we don't get Grant is just wrong. It would be dissappointing, at this point, if we didn't get Seastrunk and Dyer. It would be a meltdown if we didn't get either one. Tomorrow there is not going to me a meltdown because quite honestly, in this particular situation, there are bigger fish to fry...

Unless, there's something else....other than commitments? I don't know. But yeah, if Lache, Dyer, and Corey all commit to other schools, then there'll be gnashing and blood will be spilled...eventhough, D.J. Howard could be a really, really good RB once he plays a full season healthy, if the coaches decide to play him there.

The only meltdown for Auburn people will be due to the fact that all of our hourly wage employees skip out on work to go hang out with a lobby full of braying jackasses. They're going to set production schedules back 2 weeks.

How am I dreaming numb nuts? Auburn is set to land 2 of the top 3 RB's in the nation. Did I say that we would? No. I said it would be a dissappointment if we only landed 1, and a total melt down of epic proportions if we lose both. How is this any different that what you see?

I'm assuming that superman was referring to Grant committing. I told him that I didn't think it would cause that big a "gnashing of teeth" as he referred to it as. I'm guessing the reason he thought it would sting a bit is because of his close proximity to Auburn's campus.

Opelika, for whatever reason, is a Bammer safehaven. I did my student teaching at the high school, and I was shocked to see that most of the kids there root for Alabama. It was really overwhelming. I eventually came to the conclusion that Opelika hates Auburn high school thus making them hate Auburn University as well.
