Title: Man, you Auburn fans are as sorry as shit.
Post by: Birmingham on June 26, 2009, 08:09:58 PM
First of all, Greasyweasel, I'm not your bitch.  If you wanna say something than act older than a damn three year old and say it.  Don't use me and try to manipulate me to say anything for you.  I don't know you and you're gutless.  I don't like gutless people.

Second of all, this is the only Auburn forum on the entire internet that doesn't censor you.  Why in the hell would you censor yourself?  Why the hell would you then try to uncensor yourself by the means of a pm to a fan of a rival team?  Again, you're a three year old damn Auburn fan acting like a little gutless skank.

And third, the weasel was right.  You bashed him for an opinion about the Auburn athletic program that the Athletic Director ended up confirming.  He was right, you were wrong.  In the case that the gutless skank decides to post here in the future, you should probably acknowledge that.

Hello, Despite having quit posting on this forum occasionally I run across things that will piss off those fools on here who have any hopes that chizik will not destroy all that he touches. Remember how they gang fucked me when I said that Auburn donations and revenue was down and people were not buying season tickets since chizik had been hired? Well here is the evidence.
http://www.oanow.com/oan/sports/college/article/au_football_revenue_from_ticket_sales_down_from_last_year/78345/ (http://www.oanow.com/oan/sports/college/article/au_football_revenue_from_ticket_sales_down_from_last_year/78345/)

Start the thread about it but don't tell them I fed this to you. Tell'em they owe me an apology though.  That will piss them off more than you can know.
Greaseyweasel was right about this...what else does he know?
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Again, you greaseyweasel, are a gutless skank.  That you're an Auburn fan, REALLY, makes me happy!

Sometimes people act like douchebags on the internet because they don't know how to conduct themselves via a message board.  However, sometimes people are just flat out douchebags because they didn't figure out how to socialize in the real world.  Greasey is a douchebag in every aspect of his life.

I wouldn't be surprised to find out that Greasey is 14 years old.  I actually might be relieved.

And, the dip in ticket sales has nothing to do with the economy, nothing at all.....it ALL has to do with Coach Chizik being hired, yup that's it.  The economy, in Alabama, is booming just like always.  I guess greasybammer will say that the dip in ticket sales and the cancellation of City Stages was because of Coach Chizik too.

Ham', you're better than this.  See post just above mine.  Football tickets are a luxury that all people just can't afford right now.  My business is down 35% since August of 08', as is my best friends' construction business, as is another friend who owns the Atlanta Bread Company here. He said his business started falling in August of 08' and has dropped over 30% since then.  Think he should go out and buy a big ole package of season tickets?  My dad has been a scholarship donor since 1968.  Monday night, he told me he's seriously considering giving it up.  Just too much money to shell out in this economy when he's not able to go to all the games.  Hell, I've lost right at $25K from my retirement in the last 6 months.  Think I should call up the athletic department and place my order?

Chizik's the cause because Greasyweasel said so? Please.  That dude was never censored but he was despised because EVERY single post was "FUCK CHIZIK".

It goes against everything I know to post something that was private.  But after thinking about it for almost 3 seconds I realized that it might make Auburn as a whole look bad, and I hate the shit out of you guys.

joking aside, I know this isn't an "Auburn" thing, but if I'm ever going to let you guys off the hook for this fag than Prowlerperry's going to have to stop referring to him as an Alabama fan also.

Ham, I am very disappointed in you. You did exactly what he wanted you to do even if you outted his PM. Shame shame. We do not owe GW shit. He is still a waste of space. I never question whether or not he is an Auburn fan. I don't care - I don't have to like someone just because they are an Auburn fan. And I don't like his attitude or the mind numbingly constant negativity and the belief that "fuck chizik" is the only thing worth saying. There are plenty of reasons to think he is a douchebag.  And you are one too for lumping us Auburn fans into one group when we have done you the courtesy of treating you with as much respect as we can muster for a stupid bammer.  Don't confuse our tolerance for you with anything resembling acceptance.

So yeah, shame on you.   If we are to be sorry for anything, don't make it be for tolerating you, you dick.

I don't argue the fact that ticket sales are down because of the economy, but please, for the love of logical decisions, don't defend your "the economy is down" argument with a City Stages analogy.  That pathetic event hasn't turned profit in, what, three years???  City Stages was canceled because it sucks almost as bad as the city hosting the event.

I definitely agree, I'm just saying that using greasybammer's logic, it's the same as saying that the dip in ticket sales has everything to do with the hire of Coach Chizik....it'd be wrong and greasybammer is wrong.  City Stages hasn't been good since about 4 or 5 years ago.  Not to mention spending 12 dollars on a Hot Dog and a Coke, then watching, basically, cover bands carrying the original band's names.  Also, the thought of being out in Birmingham at night, is not a very pleasant one.

I checked into getting season tickets last year, you have to donate $250 for each ticket package you want to purchase. The base ticket package costs $360 for each package. Quick recap how many people have an extra $122 dollars to spend on season tickets. I would love to go to Jordan-Hare for every game its just not possible with work, the rising cost of gas and the overpriced concessions at the game. I plan on going to at least three home games a year thats all I can afford.

I can't even afford three home games.  It can be up to a $300 trip for two people per home game.  It'll be cheaper in the long run for me to buy a big screen TV and pay for HD.

Priorities, numbnuts.  When Shula was stinking it up and losing to MSU for about the 8th year in a row, tickets could be picked up off the ground at BDS.  Now that the Saviour has risen in Tuscalossa, people would sell their souls..and their double wides for a chance to be close to the One.  Doesn't matter that people are losing their jobs left and right, companies are downsizing, gas prices are zooming back up, the stock markets' been in the shitter and the country is still at war in the Middle East.  Getchu' some Bammie tickets. No, the fact that there are a few thousand Mullets on a waiting list for football tickets means the economy has nothing to do with it.

The article focused mainly on those economic woes as the reason for the projected 6-7% decrease.  The season packages were gobbled up but many were downsized.  For instance, my father has always ordered the extras available with his scholly so that family members could go.  He's either downsizing or cutting it out altogether.

It could be a matter of folks thinking Chizik will stink it up, just the way demand was down when Shula was stinking it up.

So, I suppose the point you are trying to make is that while the economy may not affect Alabama ticket sales/demand, it does in fact affect Auburn ticket sales/demand. Correct?
Title: Re: Man, you Auburn fans are as sorry as shit.
Post by: Snaggletiger on June 27, 2009, 04:33:30 PM
Not correct.  Not even close.  Your rebuttal to the argument that the economy is the main factor in loss of revenue..as is indicated by the article..was very simply....Alabama has a waiting list for tickets; therefore...

Geez it couldn't be the fact that the economy is hammering the shit out of folks.  It's only been about the most important and pressing thing on peaople's minds for the last year.  But since Bama fans are gobbling up football tickets, that pretty much proves it has no effect.

Pretty much, you dumb fuck.  You actually have to HAVE a job to be affected by the economy.  That's why Auburn people are watching their expenses like responsible members of society.  You just have to take a look at the caliber of people who attend a bammer game to know that they done mortgaged the double wide and fed the kids cat food so they could afford them there tickets.  Besides, any cash money they have in hand either came from the gubmint or from the pot patch in the back yard, so as long as the Piggly Wiggly takes food stamps, they gonna be aight...

By the way, there happens to be a waiting list for Scholly tickets as well at AU.  The point to the article was that revenue will be a bit down (6-7%) because the TU donors are buying less overall tickets (That are available to them) and donations are down.

I agree wholeheartedly. I was debating over revealing Glenn's passion for 90's grunge music, Krystal hamburgers and dachsund puppies that he kept asking me about in PM's...but then, I pondered the unwritten rules of the board and our friendship...and thought better of it.  So obviously, my responses about tarter sauce and condoms will never see the light of day on this board.

Damn you Ham.

So when you find yourself in a position to add nothing to a thread (a position you are quite familiar with) you start looking for spelling and grammar errors?  You better be glad that I make them readily available or we might not hear from you for weeks.
