Title: Sometimes, You Just Gotta' Have...
Post by: Snaggletiger on June 21, 2009, 07:59:06 PM
Tonight, it was a Shrimp Po-Boy and fries.  Today, about lunch, it hit me.  Only a Po-Boy Samich, fries and cold brew will do.

To the store for already peeled and deveined skrimps.  (Don't want to do too much work).  A box of Zatarain's Shrimp Fry and a package of Cajun Seasoning. A package of Sub Rolls, shredded lettuce and it's, Home James..

1/2 cup milk and 1 egg whisked up and a bowl with the Zatarain's and Cajun seasoning right next to it.  Oil is just right so a quick dip in the milk and egg...a roll in the batter and plunked in the oil.  Fries are cooking while I get another pan hot, melt butter and open the sub rolls to heat up, Dave's Dog's style.

Once everything cooks, open the sub rolls and spread some mayo and a little horsey sauce and pile on the lettuce.  Top with the hot little skrimpies and finish with some Heinz.  Plate up some fries and squeeze about a pound of dipping ketchup. Pop the top on an ice cold Carib, get a few paper towels and everyone needs to get the hell out of the way.

Harvey B is full and quite happy.  I think I'll pop another Carib.

You forgot to drive to New Orleans to get french bread made with the river water.
