Well, well, well. The bitch has been challenged by The Washington Post (and the CIA) about her knowledge of the enhanced interrogation methods being used on captured terrorists (Yes, I'm calling a spade a spade there) after saying repeatedly she had no knowledge of these methods. So much for her having any plausible deniability. With the
Democrats socialists in charge of everything they'll find little cover...even the MSM can't ignore their antics (read as lies) any longer. I wonder when she'll be back-peddling on this issue?

Intelligence officials released documents this evening saying that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) was briefed in September 2002 about the use of harsh interrogation tactics against al-Qaeda prisoners, seemingly contradicting her repeated statements over the past 18 months that she was never told that these techniques were actually being used.
In a 10-page memo outlining an almost seven-year history of classified briefings, intelligence officials said that Pelosi and then-Rep. Porter Goss (R-Fla.) were the first two members of Congress ever briefed on the interrogation tactics. Then the ranking member and chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, respectively, Pelosi and Goss were briefed Sept. 4, 2002, one week before the first anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks.

Pelosi keeps spinning this story and changing what she said again (claiming that 'someone' was briefed but not her) but we all know she is full of shit at this point and has no credibility at all; here's her latest claim in an excerpt from the AP news item, all emphasis is my own:

"To the contrary ... we were told explicitly that waterboarding was not being used," she told reporters, referring to a formal CIA briefing she received in the fall of 2002.
Pelosi said she subsequently learned that other lawmakers were told several months later by the CIA about the use of waterboarding.
"I wasn't briefed, I was informed that somebody else had been briefed about it," she said.

The story continues and I hate to point out the obvious but if Pelosi was a Republican she would have been shamed into resigning her post long before now. I think House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer (D-MD) is probably getting ready to 'measure the drapes' of the speaker's office anyway.
And of all of the Fed-Gov entities NOT to pick a fight with I think the CIA is right up there at the top of the list next to the FBI and the IRS; excerpt from The WaPo, all emphasis is my own:

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's extraordinary accusation that the Bush administration lied to Congress about the use of harsh interrogation techniques dramatically raised the stakes in the growing debate over the Bush administration's anti-terrorism policies even as it raised some questions about the speaker's credibility.
Pelosi's performance in the Capitol was either a calculated escalation of a long-running feud with the Bush administration or a reckless act by a politician whose word had been called into question. Perhaps it was both.
For the first time, Pelosi (D-Calif.) acknowledged that in 2003 she was informed by an aide that the CIA had told others in Congress that officials had used waterboarding during interrogations. But she insisted, contrary to CIA accounts, that she was not told about waterboarding during a September 2002 briefing by agency officials. Asked whether she was accusing the CIA of lying, she replied, "Yes, misleading the Congress of the United States."

She ran her mouth just like any other Leftist mommy part cracking jokes based on half-truths, Leftist concocted stereotypes and associated propoganda. When someone on the Right says something like this, everyone associates it with mean-spirited hate speech. When someone on the Left says it, it's completely acceptable. At the rate in which The Obama is breaking his campaign promises lately, they need all the diversionary tactics they can get. The Blame Bush modus operandi is losing strength and credibility.

I saw where the Republicans are asking Madam Speaker to either present the facts and launch an investigation into the CIA lying to Congress or she needs to step up and apologize to the CIA. IMO, she knew.
Now we all know that she will do neither of the above. #1) I don't believe that the CIA lied to her and she has no evidence and #2) she can't apologize and fess up that she knew more than she is acting like she knows b/c of the political fallout she will suffer.

Same here, but I hope she stays just long enough for it to be driven home how unethical her and her party are. We need to win some election in 2010 very bad.
