Also, I'm going to write him an email. This is true, right? Not a rumor? If it's true, every one here should write him one too. I don't care if you agree with the limo idea or not; no objective reporter/anchor should give their bias opinion especially in a state that is divided between two teams.

Yes it true, but apparently he didn't say the word "Damn". And, they've already fielded tons of phone calls and emails. One poster said that when he called, the lady said that she didn't see anything wrong with it. It's really, really sad that some people/reporters/fans, don't realize that the limo idea wasn't done to say....If you come to Auburn you'll be ridin' like this. No, the idea was done to create a "Buzz", and boy what a buzz it was, plus how else can you comfortably sit 7 coaches together? It's amazing to me that very few have picked up on the fact that while it IS to impress kids that would think this is great, the deeper intent behind this is simple. What shows the high schools and communities Auburn cares more, than showing up TOGETHER to meet and staff and coaches and make something exciting happen all at once in a limo and stop on an all state tour?
It also is an example that the divisiveness that plagued the last staff is a thing of the past. This "Tiger Prowl" is a very public showing of the new united front this staff has put together. There can't be in any rumors about whether these guys like each other, or if they're on the same page, or anything else. Partying and running around together and at least appearing to have a ball together in a limosine shows that it's a new time and something to be excited about.
Regardless of whether you think doing it in this way is a gimmick, the older staff (as good as they might have been at many different things) would have NEVER done something like this.

I don't think you know as much football as the people who analyze it for a living, and I will tend to believe them when they tell me that, Malzahn was one of the most highly sought after coordinators, the people up at UT wanted Taylor back and he was highly sought after as well. When the guys at Scout and Rivals tell me that Luper is one of the best recruiters around, I will believe them over you. Have read and heard (once again, from people that get paid to do this for a living) nothing but praise for Thigpen, Rocker, Grimes. I can tell you from personal experience that Philip Lolley has more football knowledge than you or I will ever dream of having.

I've been reading the blogs, paper, watching tv, and listening to sports talk. The press has been good for Auburn, and even those bammer homers in the media that were pointing and giggling on monday, by thursday and friday were admitting it was a smash hit for the intended audience of 18 year old kids, their coaches, and teachers. The only group that has steadfastly maintained their moronic take is.....that's right, the rank and file mulletheaded, cocksucking, bammers, and of course their best Auburn friend, GW. And that take is: "Aubies, ignore what you hear and see, take our word for it, it's not working, it won't work, it's a desperation move, and everybody's laughing." Another really stupid take is one that GW has also adopted of "it might turn the heads of some recruits, but the really good ones will be turned off". As if 18 year old kid A with 3 stars on rivals will be impressed, but 18 year old kid with 4 or 5 stars will view it differently. Last I checked the only differences in an 18 year old 3 star or 5 star is God given athletic ability, not mindset.

BTW, I won't say a word about the limo, we once signed a 5-star cornerback out of Atlanta named Ahmad "Batman" Carrol because we had a guy in a Batman suit and a Batmobile show up during his recruiting visit. You never know what is going to impress an 18 year old kid. There really was only one tried and true method, but Colorado went and fucked that up for everybody.

You must have bumped your head while you were woking at that glory hole. Only a complete dumbass can see 8 possible wins this year. Hell even when we had a coach 8 wins is not easy to get, this is not the big 12 north you know. We have too much competent competition and a rudderless ship to contend with. 2 to 3 wins are definantly more likely. 5-7 will seem like the good ole days before we get these clowns out of town.

It wouldn't surprise me if Auburn won the first 5, I mean there hasn't been anything coming out of Tenn lately that makes me think they're going to be particularly tough.
What are you going to do if they head for god's country on a 5 game winning streak? Are you going to take your ball and go home? Are you going to admit the PTB know a hell of a lot more about what they're doing than you think? Or are you just going to quit watching football and spend your Saturdays throwing darts at your Chizik dartboard and masturbating to tapes of old Bear Bryant coaching shows?
I never claimed to be smart, but I just can't figure out how someone can claim to be a fan of a team and so openly root for that team to do poorly. I said the same thing about all the people claiming to be Hog fans who hoped we would lose so HDN would get run out of town.
