Title: Well By Golly...Snow
Post by: Snaggletiger on March 01, 2009, 08:36:28 AM
It's about 7:30 a.m. here in Dothan and we are having some snow flurries.  Just a few light flakes here and there and absolutely not enough to accumulate by any means.  But, I don't think we've had even a flurry more than once in about 20 years.  What's it doing farther north?

There is about an inch and a half on my car right now in Auburn. It's completely covered the grass, rooftops, and cars.

Roads are clear though.

I'd say we've gotten 1 1/2 - 2" here in Hoovah.  It's been coming down steady all morning.

Fuck snow.

Give me sunshine, shorts, and flip-flops.

About 2 inches on the northern side of Pell City and still coming down.

Got to love this Alabama weather. It's supposed to be in the low to mid 70's by the end of the week.

I'm northwest of the ATL and it's been coming down very steadily here all day up until a few minutes ago when it switched to smaller flakes mixed with rain.  We've got some good accumulation of snow...I'd say over 2".  The roads are clear.

About 2" here on the ground in West Central GA. and still coming down hard.

Wow...  I'm north of you, and there just isn't much in the Acworth area.  I must be caught in a pocket of global warming.  Perhaps, I should have recycled more and eaten more higher-priced organic fruits and granola products over the last year.  Nahhhh!!!  That's not going to happen.

I'm surprised that there's not much there.  It finally quit here except for a little rain right now but it's been coming down pretty hard.

Odd that you didn't get much...must BE a pocket of glow-bull warming!

Still snowing here at 17:50. Sucks for y'all north of the Atl. We've got a good 3 or 4 inches on the ground now.

Well, it was fun while it lasted.  Off and on hard flurries all day but now there's not a cloud in the sky.  Probably be 74 by Tuesday, which is fine by me.  Unless it's snowing and a freakin' winter wonderland....I hate anything to do with cold weather.

Why?  I really don't find snow to be a big deal...

Does it stimulate you or something?  Do the following pictures arouse you???

Actually it's just nice for us south of the perimeter to get some snow for a change. As opposed to only north of Atlanta. And yes, I must admit I find the red head somewhat arousing...

I rode the motorcycle in it yesterday before the ice started.  Always wanted to do that.

No kids?  Snow is meh.  Fun to watch for a minute or two and back to whatever.

Kids?  Snow is a significant, earth-shattering event.  I drove FOUR hours yesterday so my 9-year old could play in snow in somebody else's yard.  Plus she got to see her sister in Auburn, but that was secondary.

She ate it, she rolled in it, she threw it at people, she build shit with it.  She laughed pretty much all day.

Was it worth it?  Damn straight.  I'd do it again tomorrow.

I always figured you as a guy who heard a child's laugh and became angry.

Not when it's my kids.

Some other little brat starts laughing and I figure he's laughing at me.  He gets a boot to the neck.

Give me snow over 70 degrees any day.  I love some snow.

Poor prowler.  Still out on the court throwing bricks at the basket after all the fans left, the lights were turned out, the game lost and Kaos carried out victoriously on the shoulders of his teammates.

Maybe one day he'll score.

Great slideshow.  Although the music made me want to strip down buck-naked and have passionate sex with the closest female.  While being videotaped.

Going to the job this morning was like driving through snowman land after the great armageddon of the snow peoples.  Their bodies were half melted and skewed about, heads were found far from their bodies, and all that was left of their snowforts were small, misshapen lumps of ice.
