Looks like a good pick-up. Although we stole him from the mighty Southern Miss, he is a Rivals Top 50 recruit.

It also says that he had offers from Clemson, Oregon, Florida St, and a few other bigger name schools.  The question then becomes, why did he commit to SoMiss.

Actually in the interest of truthfulness he never had an offer from FSU.  "He was considering FSU".

Hell I was considering Harvard as a senior but they didn't have their "take a redneck to lunch program" enacted at that point.

Wonder if he is anything like DeAndre Brown?  It looked like he wasn't going to qualify, but got cleared at the last minute and everyone gave up on him other than So Miss.  What is this kids grade like?

JT has retaken his ACT and stated that he will qualify now, as long as he doesn't slip up with his class work.  And, IMO it's the same as the DeAndre and Neiko Thorpe case.
