Jesus Christ...really?

For the love of God Michael Bay, quit ruining movies.

Jason wasn't even IN the original. All of the killings were POV and at the end you find out it was Jason's mom. They could have at least taken a realistic approach with this one and left the adult ghost of the dead child Jason being the killer aspect of the other 293 parts out.

From what I just read, this is basically going to be a remake of part 2, covering the events of part 1 in about the first 20 minutes, except Jason will have the hockey mask he picks up in part 3 for entire movie.

Did Jason not make an extremely brief appearance in part 1 as he pulled the little girl down into the depths of Crystal Lake?

Yes. Mongoloid child Jason did. I suppose I should have said adult hockey mask wearing Jason.

I have not seen a horror movie in forever. I have not seen any of the Saw movies or just about any other horror movie probably in the last 10 years. It just seemed like that were losing their shock value by getting predictable and also it seemed they were just worried about showing gore instead of keeping me on the edge of my seat.

If I remember correctly, the last good "horror" movie I saw was "Final Destination". That movie was pretty good because just when you thought you knew somebody was going to get killed, it did not happen, but when everything seemed okay, somebody bit the dust.

There may have been some good ones since then that I might have liked, but I just lost interest in horror movies. Might have something to do with my having to sleep with a night light.

For the first time since 1982 I saw a Friday the 13th on Friday the 13th.

This movie was lame.  I'd give it a C- at best.  If you're ranking Friday the 13th movies, this was probably sixth or seventh down the list.  The original remains a classic. Three in 3D was good as well.  This isn't nearly on that level.  Don't waste your money.

Just so you don't think I'm alone in that ranking, I went with several people mostly women who expected to be shocked and frightened. Consensus was a big fat yawn.  Everyone with whom I went panned it overall.

It was better than Zombie's hack job on Halloween, but that's not saying much.  It was really pretty boring.

As for the "smokin" hot women?  Fuck no.  Three titty shots, the first with a whore whose tits looked like they belonged on Stretch Armstrong.  I wanted her to put her shirt back the fuck on, and put a bag over her dog ass face.   The two blondes were fair, but nothing worth putting on the DVR.

The new Friday the 13th made the most money on opening night, than any horror flick ever made.

So fucking what? I contributed to that total. Lots of movies open strong.

You're also talking dollars. When I went to see 3 in 3D you could get by with a $20 for tickets and food including your date.  Now? Shit.  Tickets for four were $44 and I dropped another $40 at the concession stand. Ridiculous.

That's why I only go to the movie theater once or twice a year.  I might have to wait several months, but that doesn't bother me.  I haven't even seen the last Bond movie yet...  I'm in no race to help those non-producing Hollywood clowns pay for their multi-million dollar mansions or win another worthless "entertainment" award.

At what point in the movie was Amanda Righetti naked?  At what point was she much of anything other than covered in grime?

She's hot, no doubt, but the movie didn't allow her to display those attributes.

I'm knocking it down to a D, now that you mention it.

So you're saying that you'd go see a movie with someone hot in it and it doesn't matter if they're allowed to be hot in that movie or not?  You'd watch Monster, for instance, and slam the salami because Charlize Theron was in it?  Hmmmm.

If you'd bothered to read further, you'd have seen that my "smoking hot" reference pertained to the nudity -- of which there was some.

Amanda Righetti is hot in THOSE pictures, but she wasn't allowed to be hot in the movie.  Neither was Pannabaker, really, in a wasted role.

Righetti spent most of the movie looking like this:

No, that's kinda why you go.  Or at least one reason.  Or at least it used to be.

Take Cabin Fever.  The girls in it were blazing hot.  And they all got naked and nasty.  The movie sort of sucked, but who remembers?  Cerina Vincent?  Damn.

The better-looking chicks in this movie didn't get naked.  And they kept Righetti covered in leaves and shit.

I was actually looking forward to seeing the Olivio girl in the film because she DOES take good pictures.

I don't know if it was the lighting or what, but her tits looked so nasty and burnt up and her face was so freaking harsh I wanted her to put a bag over all that shit.

Cabin Fever was a horrible movie with hot chicks, I agree 100%.
