Or so I was told...

I wasn't aware ESPN was a comedy channel.

Or so I was told...
I listened to the radio for around 2 hours today, both national and regional, and realized that Auburn is now the laughing stock of the nation.  One analyst on ESPN Radio said that this was Auburn thinking they were a 9, learning they wee a 6, then hiring a 4...

Excerpts from CGC interview on Scott VanPelt's show

CGC claims to know how to recruit the state, and that is why he was hired...

Minimum requirements for success - JJ gave him none!  Championships are the expectation - that was implied.  he says he has been in Auburn, been in SEC, understands the league and that someone with no SEC experience would not do well... (URBAN MYER ANYONE?) he and Jay Jackoff talked about their mutual vision for moving program forward.

His reaction to the Internet implosion:  there will always be a segment of the fanbase that will be for a coaching hire, some against it... Auburn fans are passionate fans that love auburn - he can't control all that -he came back because he loved Auburn (WTF??) He is gonna work hard and keep his head down.  We ahve to work hard and we have to win - but he is just glad to be here... :taunt:

He knows he is the right guy for the job - it would be hard if the coach had never been here.  He knows the ins & outs of Auburn and the SEC - knows how to recruit this part of country - he has a passion for AU - he had a lot of success as dc - he understands the job and the people in Auburn

SVP asked what about the failure as HC at ISU? What will work at AU that did not work at ISU?  he said he went in knowing there were challenges at ISU - he and staff laid down a plan, a solid foundation - he thought it would be succcessful - knew it would not be overnight - he only had one year of his recruits - felt good about the direction of the class - he had lots of freshmen playing last year - laid good foundation - he said he did not plan on only staying 2 yrs - QUOTE "WHEN I TAKE A JOB, I TAKE IT FOR LIFE..." (BULLSHIT!) He thinks the numbers are certainly not favorable but do not reflect what he felt really was happening - it was two great years (WTF??) and that he would not change anything about the way he did things.  he learned a lot - and (MY FAVORITE QUOTE) "It is what it is..."... !!!!!!!!!!!!

SVP asked if there was a timetable to get AU back to expectations - how fast can taht happen?  CGC was honest - knew it was best conf in CFB, blah blah, but that he had no chance to watch any film, had not met any players other than that 20 min meting - did not see Auburn play last year - so no idea what he has to work with,  and no good answer for when we can expect to get out of the gutter that the fuckstick Jay Jacobs got us into.

He ended it with a War Eagle...

SVP made an obvious observation after - CGC had better win sooner than later - if 85-40 gets a guy fired, then CGC's timetable better be on fast track...

Job for life - until he runs for TX and then ISU...

No one can coach in SEC unless they have been there - Les Miles, Urban Myer, etc...

Brought in because he knew the place - bammer...

We are now bammer...

I just called Carl and asked for an LSUu t-shirt for Christmas.  I will never take my Auburn stuff down from my office or throw away all my gear - but this is like the Children of Israel wandering in the Wilderness because they fucked up and pissed God off - we are destined to wallow in the gutters of the SEC until Jacobs is fired.  So I will just hang a sign in my office that says "Temporary LSU Fan Until Jay Fuckstick Jacobs is Fired".

I've chosen Southern Miss.  They made a decent hire in Larry Fedora last season and they have the best freshman wide receiver in the country in DeAndre Brown.  Fuck Julio's ridiculous hype, DeAndre is the real thing.  He's a true game-breaker.

Season tickets at USM aren't sold out and you can get the package for less than $400.

Fuck you Jay Jacobs.

I'm torn between Ole Miss and Arkansas.  I have a lot of friends that went to both schools, so it makes the temporary transition easier.

I went to my first Ole Miss game this past year, and I have to say, I was impressed.  Their stadium looked like Rip Hewes Stadium down in Dothan, but the Grove and all the hot coeds will make a fan of any man.

I've been to a couple of games in Fayetteville, and I had a blast at those too.  The women were a notch below Ole Miss, but their gameday atmosphere was definitely a cut above.

I may just end up calling it even and pulling for Memphis.

Ole Miss does have most of Auburn's previous commits, so that transition might be easier.  I would be more inclined if the Wild Boy was still there, just for the comedic factor.  I'm thinking about staying close to home and root for Milton Waddams and the UAB Blazers.

I've made the easy transition.  I'm going to pull for Florida.  I've been to Jacksonville the last two years for the Largest outdoor cocktail party, ad all the UF fans I've met are awesome.  Fuck Jay Jacobs for making me feel this way.

I just can't transition to another SEC school.  That would be wrong.

I know, I know.  But it was easy for me.  Other than for the obvious reason, I chose LSU because Les Miles is funnier than the Three Stooges.

"Have A Great Day!!!"

Maybe they are just trying to get rid of some of those bandwagon motherfuckers that jumped on after 04.

Well they can quit now.  They're all gone.  As are a lot of long-time fans who've finally had enough of the boobery.

I guess I'll give a go of Troy State. They are located in the right area of the state. They are not in the SEC. They have a gutsy attitude and ties to Auburn.   :vn:
I just can't pull for another SEC school I wish there was a way that when they play eachother they would both lose.

Still beating my head on the wall due to this hire.
