Title: ESPN REPORTING AUBURN WILL NAME....
Post by: War Eagle!!! on December 12, 2008, 07:54:54 AM
Muschamp as HC.

I love the hire...Hopefully it is true.

Turner Gill would have been great, but you guys know how I feel about Muschamp too.

WOO HOO

I've seen one saying that Spurrier would be named the coach. Though the odds are a billion time better that is WILL be WM, take it with a grain of salt.

Having fulfilled two years of a five-year contract, Nick Saban is leaving his coaching position with the Miami Dolphins. Unable to handle the difficult task of rebuilding the Dolphins, Saban is leaving Miami to coach at the University of Alabama. Saban departs with a record of 15 wins and 17 loses. The Dolphins are currently in last place in their division.

While Saban repeatedly denied any interest in the Alabama position, it was disclosed that Saban’s agent was working out an eight-year, $32M agreement during the past week or so. Many loyal Dolphin fans are expressing anger with Saban’s actions calling them despicable and dishonest.

I think we have an offer on the table for Spurrier. I have a feeling we will not know anything until after the bowl games because whoever we get is already the head coach of a team playing in a bowl.

I have been saying this whole time I don't think CWM is really interested in the job.

It'll happen before that.  Call it a hunch....   Look for significant news one way or the other on certain candidates.....

ESPN is reporting - but they are NOT confirming.  Big difference.  The news is not official, but the Moo Cow fans out here in Texas are FREAKING OUT.  FREAKING.  OUT.  Sports Radio this morning was hysterical...

I don't think he is coming but just getting them freaking is worth it.  I bet they weren't freaking out when they got him this time last year.

I agree - they are the bammer of the Big 12.  I am so sick of the ones I work with saying that UT is a "step up" for Auburn coaches.  Would be nice to mess with their heads...

ESPN was reporting the Fox 10 story out of Mobile and has since retracted it.   They are now waiting like everyone else....

ESPN now reporting it's getting conflicting reports...  They have Fox10's report, and then they have a report from Joe Schaad as of this morning saying that Muschamp told a UT spokesperson that he has not and will now interview for the Auburn job.

So....who knows.....

They were just reporting what Fox 10 was reporting....  They haven't reported that they confirmed anything... Fox 10 of Mobile appears to be the real boob here.

Idiots all - stupid media.  Here's the question that will give us the answer - where is WM right now?  Austin?  Or Auburn?  Surely ESPN can pay off someone to get that info...
