For the threepeat!

Quote
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (AP) - Prattville's Brian Egan kicked a 33-yard field goal late in the fourth quarter to give the Lions their third straight Class 6A title with a 16-13 win over Hoover. Egan's kick with 2:47 remaining capped a six-play, 15-yard drive on Saturday.

Hoover had a chance to tie the game with a 32-yard field goal as time expired. But Dylan Breeding's kick sailed wide left. Egan also kicked field goals of 41 and 39 yards. Prattville's lone touchdown came on a 74-yard interception return by Nick Perry.

P-Vegas Reppin'!

I am actually happy when discussing football this week. It's a weird feeling I haven't had for a while.

Prattville Lions win 16 - 13. What a slobber-knocker. And dang did it get cold in Legion field. Bucs miss a field goal to tie it to end the game.

I probably saw one of the best interceptions by a P'ville Dback that I have ever seen. One handed running toward the deflected ball never slowing down in route to a 60+ yd interception return for a touch down.

The Bucs really showed up and never gave up. P'ville's offense never really showed up. They never really threw the ball enough. It seemed like the cold slowed them down.

But in the end, it is a three-peat for Prattville. It was great to see almost 30,000 at a high school game.

This was the only match-up that could be considered a ball game.  The rest of the state finals were blowouts.  Well, Cordova/Leeds wasn't too bad, but the rest were awful.
